I've been a long time fan of Musubi Cafe Iyasume, when it was just a single location musubi shop. I had no idea that they have now expanded to multiple locations. This one is inside the food court at Ala Moana. In addition to musubis, they have an expansive selection of bentos. We grabbed a salmon bowl, and another bento and had a casual, quick lunch.

They are basic and not particularly cheap, but given their location inside the upper level food court at Ala Moana Center (which is NOT a cheap mall), it's hard to knock them too much. The food court they're in is less chaotic than the larger one on the ground floor, complete with some outdoor seating, and with everything pre-made/pre-wrapped, service is efficient. Eel and avocado musubi is a tad bit messy to eat but it is delish. There may be better musubi out there, but Musubi Cafe Iyasume is more than enough to satisfy.

Came here for one of our last day in Honolulu and I’m very happy that we stopped here for lunch. Offer a great variety of options and it was amazing.

Every time you come to Hawaii, this place is a must food is always consistent. Tons of varieties. I personally Unagi with egg, but the classic spam. Musubi’s are also good as well very well. Price is probably one of the best priced meals you can have in Waikiki 100% justice for anyone that comes you gotta try the classic spam musubi.

It was delicious in Okinawa, but the musubi here had soy sauce that was too sweet for my taste. Rice grains are delicious.

This is just a small shop that sells some Japanese snack-style foods that really hit the spot. I don't what it is but I really liked it and went to have dinner/snacks here maybe 2-3 times during our weeklong trip. There is something nice about not completely overcharging or trying too hard and just selling properly priced items at a convenient location. Thanks for making our trip better!

This is the best spot to get a light snack for on the go, brunch, or lunch on the beach! Their location is at Ala Moana at the Lanai food court near Macy's. They are right next to one of the entrances so be mindful of the line as there might be a gap to let people pass thru.

Our favorite place to get musubis! Another thing we like to purchase here is their shumai and fried chicken. Some times they dont have it available though. Their musubi's is small enough for a snack, or for my 6 year old so that she doesnt waste it. The Staff are really friendly and the service is quick.

Stopped by today (11/7/23) to pick up musubis for lunch. Small line that moved quickly due to the efficient service and fast cashier. So many options to choose from, bentos and musubis. They were out of the spicy shrimp tempura and when I inquired about it, the nice lady said they would make it for me asap. By the time I reached the cashier, it was ready for me to purchase!A simple cafetería like line with a tray to fill your choices of musubis and bentos. Pay up front at the cashier. Well lit area with heated lamps for hot food items.

I love a good musubi and Musubi Cafe Iyasume is good. I remember when they had their location just in Waikiki and it was always busy and a great spot for a quick bite. Have been to this location twice in a week. Quick/ easy and fresh. Three stars? The price (I honestly don't even know because I just buy them) seems high for the size. The spam musubi's are literally 3-4 bites. This morning I paid $10 for a spam musubi, bottled water and a bento pack, 2 pieces of bite size chicken, 2 small sausage, 1 tiny egg and a salmon musubi. Filling but not worth the $10.
