Prime example of, “you pay for what you get”. The service, ambiance, food and experience was top tier. We came here for my husbands birthday and it was an amazing decision as with the new CSR benefit plus cash back. Kanpachi ceviche was very lemon-y and refreshing! Truffle short rib didn't really taste like truffle but it was SO tender and the flavor was still amazing! The ribeye was a bit more red than my husband likes so we switched plates. But I think it was the most soft and moist steak I've ever had that was that red. The Kine Mushroom medley was also delicious! Love the mix of mushrooms and textures. Cooked perfectly. The Brûlee was a mix of sweet and sour. Specifically the lilikoi “gummies” which just made my face pucker up. Still addicting!! Complimentary chocolate cake for my husbands birthday was life-changing. Also received 2 complimentary cookies with our check which we saved for later because we definitely ordered too much food!
The food was fantastic! Better than expected and service was impeccable! Thanks for a lovely experience!
MW is consistently a wonderful experience with a wait staff who remembers you and are extremely courteous and friendly. They also accommodate my food allergies. I think the tasting menu always surprises, is much better than the last time and is the best! Much cudos to Chef Wade and Michelle. MW is our go to restaurant for an excellent food and dining experience.
Located on the second floor above a high-end car dealership, MW Restaurant is a hidden gem that's both elegant and intimate. Parking is valet-only for $6, but it's worth it for the overall experience. The atmosphere is romantic and modern — perfect for date nights or a special evening out. The staff is warm, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. We started with the Smoked Kampachi Dip, which was incredible — rich, smoky, and beautifully paired with crispy wonton chips. The Soup and Sandwich combo (tomato soup and mini sandwich) was comforting and flavorful, and the Ho Farms Tomato Salad was fresh and bright with perfectly balanced flavors. For the main course, the Miso-Glazed Butterfish was absolutely divine — tender, buttery, and cooked to perfection with a deliciously caramelized glaze. Dessert was equally impressive — the Crème Brûlée lilikoi and chocolate dessert were not only gorgeous but also the perfect sweet finish to an exceptional meal. Overall, MW Restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience — refined yet relaxed, creative yet comforting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable evening in Honolulu.
This was Alan Wong's 2.0. Some familiar design elements, faces and dishes with a fresh new take on our favorite restaurant. We loved everything about the night and this will be a go to stop every time we visit Oahu.
The food was amazing! We came here for a girls dinner and every single person enjoyed their meal. The service is also amazing. I definitely recommend.
Food and service were good, not excellent. One main dish could have been served warmer. Noise level made conversation impossible.
Great food in a unique setting--so bizarre to see all the high end cars in the showrooms, but once inside the restaurant, you forget they are there. Service was good, food preparation and flavors were excellent. There was a slight delay coordinating the wine after the food came, but nothing major. I was disappointed that they didn't have non-alchol beer. Since so many restaurants are catering to the increasing number of non- or low- drinkers, I forget that this might not be standard everywhere.
The best meal I’ve ever had! We did the chefs tasting menu and loved every course! They really know how to balance textures and flavors. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well. Blown away by both the food and the service! Highly recommend!
If you are driving or getting a ride, follow directions given by the restaurant when you make the reservation, follow the signs to the 2nd floor parking garage. Alternatively, if you are on foot/dropped off on the block, you can get to the restaurant by going into Artizen and going up the glass walled staircase.

First time to MW Restaurant as they are now in The Symphony. Have been multiple times when they use to be at The Shops at Kapiolani. Much better embiance. Valet Parking is available which is kind of more exclusive, but doable as you're in Honolulu. Loved my dinner and thank you for the complimentary birthday cake. Dinner was great!

Our meal, service, and venue was one the best of all time in our 50 years of marriage. Maui onion salad was excellent mix of Maui onions, greens, and tomatoes with a very refreshing salad dressing. Corn chowder was outstanding to warm the taste buds. Seafood paella with various fresh shell fish, local fresh fish, sausage, tomatoes and jasmine rice was a delicious Asian fusion take on this classic Spanish dish. My wife had the very tasty beef sliders along with Asian dumplings. Our homemade desserts prepared by Pastry Chef Michelle were so yummy, I had the strawberry shaved ice and my wife had the decanted ice cream cookies. Our drinks were all exceptional which included white wine, mango tea, and French press Kona coffee of course. For the road, we were provided two house made delicious macadamia cookies. Our server Kyle was a true professional completely on top of his game along with the female aide. Meal was served in a very warm and inviting, upscale setting. Overall an epicurean experience to remember until we return in 2026!
Delightful food! So many choices for the beef lover, the fish lover, the vegetarian lover, the vegan lover. Love the unique flavors - so extraordinary. Favorite dining spot!
The food never disappoints. We had the Ahi Poke nachos, shared Bay Scallops and Short Ribs and the Lilikoi Crème Brûlée. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our favorite restaurant on the island.
