The pastries are always good but the customer service though is so-so. Been going here since they opened this location. Continously coming here since it was closer to our grandfather's house but we usually go to the original one in kalihi. This morning at 609am, we decided to go to this location, on martha street. But before we headed that way, we called to ask if they had anymore butter rolls because they always sell out before we get any (lol), the girl lady who answered was so punchy, as if she didn't want to work or just asking before going there was a problem. Within the phone call, could hear the displeasure in her voice that it set us off a bit. Came in the morning(624am)& told her I was there to pick up the butter rolls[also got 2 custard rolls), gave me the roll of the eyes. How rude & unwelcoming. It's no wonder family members & neighbors say go here after a certain time, otherwise better off go to the kalihi one since they're nicer, welcoming & know them better.
Received our butter rolls & 2 custard rolls. Niece wasnt pleased of how the custard roll looking like someone squeezed the puffiness to it. One was puffed up while the other looked like it was intentionally squeezed, we even took a vid in the parking lot before we left the location lol. You can kinda see it in the pic of how it looks like too. Still taste good though lol.
Overall, pastries good but knocked 2 stars down due to lack of customer service on the phone & in person. Lack of presentation of the pastries. That girl lady needs to choose whether she wants to wake up to work with a positive attitude & tone OR wake up to get another job with her already bad tone & attitude. She was giving Nandings a bad rep, knowing this family business has strived for years & an absolute milestone for the filipino community.

Nanding’s Bakery is delicious and has the sweetest service. I walked in a few minutes before closed (I just wanted to see! Sorry). I was happily greeted by a gentleman and he was so nice! I purchased an ube Enymada- sweet bread filled with ube and it was soooooo delicious! Reasonable pricing as well!

Decent prices, and the goods are really good. Definitely worth to get some stuff if you're in the area. The Ensaymada is my favorite!

Incredibly unprofessional and absolutely no customer service. I pre-ordered 2 dozen one rolls and 2 dozen regular Spanish rolls. I confirmed my order when I picked it up but when I got to my work gathering, there were 4 dozen of the regular rolls. I called the bakery and they initially they refused to acknowledge their mistake. They tried to convince me that we did have a conversation about the ube rolls and different price but I ended up passing and only ordering 2 dozen regular. When I told the manager Roland that the employee at pick up clearly had an order for 2 dozen ube and 2 dozen regular with a total of 4 dozen prepared and boxed, he still tried to tell me my order was for only 2 dozen regular. After a ridiculously long conversation, he finally admitted to his employee’s mistake but just said “sorry”. An honest customer looking for honest business and unfortunately Roland clearly does not believe in integrity. Avoid this place like the plague. I will post a review every day until they learn how to treat honest paying customers.

Nothing crazy to write home about decent food. The service was phenomenal. The atmosphere was pretty basic. It was just an In-N-Out. No tables or anything. Maybe it's from what we ordered but it wasn't anything special.

Nanding's is a local institution. People have been coming to their stores since they were kids, particularly for their Spanish Rolls.
This is not the original location, but it's definitely a welcome addition to their list of locations since the other ones are on the other side of the island. This one is located next-door to Zippy's Kapahulu. There are a few parking stalls on the side of the building along with ample street parking if the stalls are full.
As I alluded to, my go to order is a couple dozen of the Spanish rolls. Every other time I get there, I have to wait around 5 to 10 minutes for the rolls, but I am not at all upset by this because it means that they're coming to me fresh and hot out of the oven.
Another thing to know is that everything here is extremely affordable . I can't remember a time that I walked out of here spending more than $20.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
