2nd visit. Progress a lot compared to last time. Super creative kaiseki place. Chef fuse a lot of French technique into traditional kappo. Each dish has at least 3 level of twists but stick with the original Food flavor. Pipelining is well designed. It only takes 1.5hr to finish 9 courses despite there are 3 batches of customers. Will revisit again.

Just had another wonderful date night at Nan Zan. I have been here several times over the last few years and it’s always a delightful experience. They have an Omakase menu that changes monthly. The colorful dishware enhances the experience and the staff foster a friendly atmosphere. The amberjack course was my favorite tonight.

Came here for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. Chef’s tasting menu was so pleasant, every dish beautifully balanced in flavor, texture and down to presentation in each unique ceramic pieces was a nice touch. Dessert was on the house for my birthday:) I understand the menu changes monthly, we definitely would visit again next time we’re on the island.

This place is amazing. We ordered the $88 6 course option and all the courses were amazing and well presented. Kudos to the chef and the entire team.

A word of regret. What did you learn from Mr. Edakuni?Everything is beyond mediocre and commercial. The amount of alcohol was clearly different from what was on the menu, which was a shame. I miss Paris.

The Japanese flavor is really soothing♪
I could see the food being made in the open kitchen and the plating process, so I was able to enjoy not only the taste but also the entire process visually.
Few business days? So I think you need to make a reservation in advance.
The main seats are at the U-shaped counter, but there are also table seats in the back.
The food was delicious and we had a wonderful time!

One of the 4 GIRO GIROs that I tasted, with those of Paris, Tokyo and Kyoto. The formula is interesting, chef's menu type (call it Kaiseki or Omakase depending on your preferences).

More than 2 reviews over 4 years have comments on the disastrous restrooms and no upgrades have been made .. try to listen and customers will return. So sad , go to Bernini around the corner and learn from professionals how to encourage return customers .. bye bye until you start to act on feedback of honest customers .. I’m so sorry for excellent sous Chef and staff not to be supported by ownership group

Food was top notch! Amazing food. Highly recommend the experience. The only issue I has was the bathrooms. Dead cockroach and pee all over the seats. The bathrooms need some revamping. But other then that, it was a great experience!

The food is good, but the place is poorly ran. We could smell the products they use in the bathroom from our seats. Similar to other reviews, we found the bathroom to be disgusting. The chef was also fist-bumping with a customer who had just come out of the bathroom, making us question the hygiene standards. The place generally felt uncomfortable and unsanitary. It's a shame because some dishes were very good.

The culinary experience here is like a tragic comedy show, where the star is their ‘mediocre at best’ beef. I’m pretty sure that even calling it beef is a stretch – unless Wagyu A5 now comes with bonus tendons. And the ambiance? Oh, it’s just perfect if you enjoy dining to the cacophony of what sounds like a hyena laughter competition. Really adds to the whole ‘eating in a zoo’ vibe. Trying to savor a meal and reflect on life choices becomes an extreme sport here. And the grand finale - the restroom. It’s like a portal to a post-apocalyptic world, only dirtier and more neglected. One might wonder if they accidentally stumbled into a war zone instead. In short, a truly unforgettable dining ordeal!

TL;DR: The food was of medium to low quality with mediocre and repetitive flavors, the environment was noisy, and the restroom was dirty.
The only aspect I liked was the service; they were lovely and attentive, and I appreciated that.
