Thank you for delicious food and hospitality from three haole’s! Mahalo!
Great job. The young man behind the counter hadn't good suggestions for the north shore too!

Delicious food! We tried the teriyaki chicken, steak, and chicken katsu. They also offer mini meals for a smaller portion. Quick and personalized service.

North shore grinds was hands down the best food we had while on Oahu. Up in a neighborhood, their Katsu was up near the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. The staff was super friendly and shared their specials and popular dishes and what customizations were allowed. This is the place to go for Hawaiian food. We were going to go again on our vacation but they are closed a couple days of the week so make a note of their open hours and plan to visit them!

The food was so fresh and delicious!
Wheelchair accessibility: There were small steps up required to get into the building. Not wheel chair accessible. There were small tables and chairs outside on the side walk level. Take out might be an option without going inside.

I got the smoke meat plate, so ono! Their rice is high quality Japanese rice. If you’re in Kaimuki/Palolo check this place out!

If you are looking for authentic hawaiian food, you need to try North Shore Grinds. The food is delicious and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I tried the scampi shrimp, chicken katsu, BBQ baby back ribs (as seen on the picture), the Brandon special, and the kalua pig throughout my stay in O'ahu. Prices are very reasonable. You won't regret it.

Grabbed poke bowls here after a hike w/ my friend. The new owners are super welcoming, generous with samples, and really making an effort to provide fresh fish at every turn! Poke bowls were delicious and filling! And I thought it was wise on their part that they kept the rice and fish separate to keep the rice from “cooking” the poke/making it easier to store leftovers. LOVED the cucumber kimchi pickles. Could eat a whole jar of that alone. Will be back again soon!

Want to give a shout out to an amazing restaurant and my new friends at North Shore Grinds. I say this because every single time I go here these new owners treat me like family and are some of the nicest people I've met. The food is also fantastic. Poke is amazing and fresh, the furikake mahi mahi is out of this world good and fresh. I will go out of my way to eat here, every single time I'm on the island, sometimes multiple times...;)

We got a couple of sandwiches and the fried fish with rice and macaroni salad. Food tasted good overall, the fish was crispy and the sandwiches tasty. The sandwiches are a better deal though I think, for the fish it didn’t feel like we got enough for the price.
Folks working there are pretty cool some of the are/were fishermen and had some good conversations while waiting.
When we went there they were doing some changes to the restaurant and only had the option for take out so we drove to the waterfront park and had the food there.
