The taro leaf pork laulau, crispy pork belly and lomi-lomi salmon were amazing. I especially enjoyed the coconut haupia. Also, our Hawaiian server was kind and informative. I would come again!
My mom and I have been to this place once many years ago and that food there was wonderful this was because tried the hawaiian chicken which is also called the huli huli and it tasted wonderful. The service was good and atmosphere was lots of people ordering, and many others.
Great local Hawaiian food. Had crispy pork. Laulau pig. And tripe stew. Owner was very friendly. Excellent food and service.
We (party of 7) wanted an authentic Hawaiian dinner our last night here and it was fabulous.
Loved the kalua pig and haupia. Amazing vibes
Bring your appetite. We enjoyed the cool air and beer with our kalua pig pupus. ‘Oahu Grill is a hidden treasure with a family heartwarming atmosphere next to the Akis restaurant. We were so ono for Hawaiian food. They offer Hawaiian mixed plates, daily specials and catering. I wanted to start with the haupia but it came after the laulau, smoked meat, lomi and poi. Crispy pork comes with the vinegar mouth-watering dipping sauce.
a wholesome experience with excellent food. i highly highly recommend!!!
We were the only ones in the joint at lunch time on a Sunday, but I was hopeful that the food would be ono. The words that best describes this place are “It could have been worse I guess.” The food was just okay. Service and atmosphere were slightly less than okay. If you’re thinking about the broke dah mouth type of local grindz that you can get at Helena’s or even Asahi Grill, unfortunately this place doesn’t come close. I always want to support local but sadly it’s hard to do when the utensils given are dirty from the start, cups of water with oily streaks floating on top, with some of the food looking like old reheated leftovers and the apathetic staff who seemed bothered that customers showed up.
First time trying Hawaiian food in this restaurant. The server was so kind and attentive. Food was amazing too! I recommend it here.
Places like Oahu Grill are why Oahu and its distinct neighborhoods are necessary explorations. Oahu Grill is a shining example of local spirit, Kaimuki personality, and simply delicious Hawaiian cooking. My party ended up sharing our meals because each entree was unmissable. I came to Hawaii originally for family and fell in love with the community. Each bite and sip at Oahu Grill felt like an extension of that.

Amazing laulau, kālua pork, lomi, and haupia (so, everything we ordered was amazing). Friendly efficient service. Only thing I would improve would be the interior decor

Hidden in an alleyway, this place is incredible. I can’t wait to come back for the Lau Lau. The aunties were the best!

This used to be my favorite place to get Hawaiian food with my grandma, but after the last time I’ve tried to order from them I will never go back. I went to my grandma’s house on Friday September 20 and she recommended we call Oahu Grill. I called at around 4pm and a lady answered and pretended she could not hear me when I said hello multiple times and hung up. No big deal, I called right back and the person at Oahu Grill picked up the phone, set it on the counter, and walked away. I heard all of this and was very confused, but my grandma really wanted Hawaiian food for dinner so I called again. Line busy. Thought they must be busy, so around 630pm we walked to the Japanese restaurant right next door. I looked through the glass door of Oahu Grill and there were people working there and ZERO customers. -100 stars for service. Hope they go out of business soon so a new restaurant can open here. Kaimuki needs another great restaurant in their place.
