Literally just ate here an hour ago with my buddies and this was hands down one of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. What we thought at first was a Michelin-style experience, eventually became what I can only describe as a hang out among friends and we loved every moment of it. To be able to drink with Master Aung made the overall experience feel all the more intimate and enjoyable. You will not be disappointed with the quality of food that Master Aung serves. It’s as fresh as it gets. My only recommendation, bring liquor for Master Aung, not beer. Although he doesn’t like beer, Master Aung still graciously drank with us ?. My buddies and I will definitely return next time we’re in Oahu. Caviar and Uni all day baby!!!!

Chef and his team do a great job at welcoming us to the bar for a delicious dinner service. No need to ask for a refill or glasses or for anything because the service is top-notch. Chef is fun, energetic, exciting, and a perfectionist at his craft. Sushi is excellent. The service is memorable, our dinner experience was one of a kind. Please do yourself a favor and dine with Chef Aung and his team.

An absolute gem.Scheduled this spot for my girlfriend's 30th. There was a brief scare as I received a text the morning of my reservation asking if we can reschedule our reservation due to a last minute maintenance. I explained that we weren't able to as we fly out the following morning. I guess Chef Aung was able to move all the other reservations except for us... so he then moved the maintenance and we had the 8 pm dinner seating all to ourselves! Words can't express how much we appreciated that.As for our *unexpected* private omakase... man it truly was a treat. I've been to a few omakase spots before, but I think the informal-ness of Chef Aung's spot is what makes it stand out. We brought our own bottle of sake, and after sharing that with Chef Aung and his sous chef Jake, I scrambled to a nearby gas station to snag 3 more bottles of sake. What other spot allows for this??? It was truly an intimate experience where we got to know the individuals who made our delicious meal while listening to banging tunes. If you come in here with the expectation of a Michelin-star type of ambiance, you will be truly disappointed as Chef Aung absolutely does not falsely advertise that. Come here if you love excellent sushi and expect to down a bottle of sake (or 4).Thanks for the extremely memorable dinner Chef, you'll be seeing us again when we come back to Oahu.

Not having past experience with omakase style of dining I'm not able to say if this was an excellent or just a very good meal. I did enjoy the sushi items served with every dish fresh and flavorful with lovely presentation. While each sushi item was only one bite in size, by the 15th item I was very full. There were only two other couples seated at the bar with us so was very intimate experience. Chef Aung prepared most of the dishes with help of two assistants to serve and clear dishes. Each item was described as they served us with very little conversation otherwise. We did converse with the other diners and that was fun. Not sure if another omakase experience is in store for me

He does a limited seating at lunch, so it was just our party. Aung did a great job as always. Spectacular food, outstanding ambiance, and great service. Can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic meal with wonderful staff. Aung used ingredients that was unique to many of us and paired it well with things you'd expect to see at this caliber. Would come back again and again!

I had made my reservations to celebrate my guest's birthday, but at the end of the meal, we were left out of the birthday celebrations. Every other party had a plate with a candle except for my guest, who was left out. It was a terrible feeling to see them left out, and while they brushed it off, it was clear that a miscommunication had occurred. At the beginning of the meal, we weren't greeted by Aung at all, who was asking the other guests if there were any allergy considerations. It was odd considering there were only 5 parties present, but it wasn't a big concern. Then at the end of the meal when the lights were dimmed and the candles were lit, and my guest was left out of the celebrations, did I realize that the staff had failed to even read over the OpenTable reservation where I was sure to indicate that we were celebrating a birthday. It was only at the mention by the party next to us that the staff had realized they made a mistake. My guest didn't want to bring it up and told me to let it be, so had they not had said anything, we would have been left out completely. While the staff was apologetic and made it up by singling us out, turning off the lights, and blasting birthday music, I just can't help but feel this was a failure on the part of all 3 members of the staff. This omakase also didn't have any hot tea because "the tea didn't arrive yet." The selection of dishes felt underwhelming for the $140 price tag. Not a ground breaking selection of different cuts of maguro, buri, nodoguro, ika, tiger shrimp, etc., with uni and caviar thrown in on dishes to justify the cost. Issues aside, the meal didn't leave me feeling satisfied. Please do better!

Chef Aung and his team provided the best omakase experience we could have asked for. The food, service, and overall vibes were ideal for our birthday celebration and we would come back in a heartbeat. If you are visiting the island or if you live in the island, this is a must try!

Around a 15 course over 2 hours of service. The chef is fun, other staff friendly and attentive, and the vibe was relaxed but top end. Top mention goes to the Spanish mackerel sashimi and uni rice with ikura. BYOB.

Unfortunately not a true Omakase. It was a great experience all in all. The chef worked and joined us for a quick clink of glass- celebrated “cheers”. A lot of the fish was served torched (flambé) so its got some “smoke lighter fluid” taste. Uni is also used a lot, I liked it but my husband did not; too fishy for him.

Outstanding. Sets a high mark for Omakase / Sashimi / Sushi. Private, personal, special, delicious, must-do, fantastic in every way. If you love sushi, get a seat at Aung's counter. You will not regret it.

Chef Aung welcomes you as if you are an old friend coming over for dinner. The group we had was very social and fun. Lots of alcohol was shared since it's BYOB! Every dish was very enjoyable and delicious. Definitely a must try if you are into omakase.

Absolutely thrilled with my dining experience at the sushi restaurant! The food and service were beyond amazing, and the chef and staff were not only friendly but truly exceptional. The sushi, made with the best seasonal fresh seafood, took us on a remarkable culinary journey. The omakase experience delivered by the chef was top-notch, and the meal concluded with an incredible cheesecake ice cream. A truly memorable and delightful evening!
