Such delicious food—very comforting and intuitive, just pick what looks best. I wish we had this style of izakaya in Seattle. We had tonpeiyaki, beef sobameshi, and curry udon. Lovely, casual and lively atmosphere.

I went to this place with my family after working straight for 12 hours, hoping to have a nice dinner. 🍽️ #FamilyTime #DinnerDate
Guess what? We were the first ones to order, but my wife's food arrived first. 🤦♂️
After she finished eating and 20 minutes of me waiting patiently, my food was still nowhere to be seen. 🐌 #Hangry
I decided that I couldn't wait any longer, so I paid my check and left. 😡 #Dissappointed #NeverAgain
Seriously, what kind of restaurant makes the family eat at different times? 😤 #WorstExperienceEver #RestaurantFail

This is a very popular place to eat for everyone that lives around the Mcully area. This is located on the 2nd floor of the Mcully Shopping Center. This is both trendy and casual depending on what you define in both questions. I also see a lot of Orientals eating here because I think it's how the food would be made in their country and they have a huge assortment of items on their menu. The only time I've seen people standing outside is during the weekend but don't get me wrong because I am not sure if they had just eaten their and having a breather outside because they are so much of the yummy foods there or they're actually waiting in line to get a table to sit down and order from. I have only been there twice so I cannot honestly say which it was. But I can honestly say that it's a very nice comfortable place to eat. You will find something for everyone to enjoy. The service is at its best at all times and the prices are a little about average so it's a little bit more than I'm used to spending in a place like this. But I have to say I will definitely eat there again and will also recommend this place to friends and family. Mahalo And Aloha
Vegetarian options: There are many different vegetarian options or I am sure they will make accommodations to some of their menu items to make your meal a good experience.
Parking: Parking is no problem here because it is in a very large parking lot shared with other types of stores, mini stores and shops.

This was our first time here. Workers are very pleasant but we did wait about an hour for the wagyu steak because it was forgotten in the kitchen. They did give a discount for the wait but the first dish came out extremely early and was eaten cold when the steak finally came. Restaurant is small, so recommend reservations!!

Dietary restrictions: Shellfish allergy was very easy to navigate around with their menu. Do not recc for fish allergy as it's in their broth

Hidden gem in Honolulu! This place is known for its tonpeiyaki, but their grilled mackerel and oden are really good. We would definitely like to come again

Had a wonderful experiences! Got served by a supper sweet and nice Japanese lady. The food is amazing…feels like eating food in Japan.Food and drink review as below:.Shrimp Dumplings and Gyu Suji Oden have interesting taste. 7/10.Tonpeiyaki is the best egg ever! Fluffy and soft taste, has thin slices pork in between, sweet and creamy sauce on top. 10:10.Salmon sashimi tastes so good so fresh as a live salmon. Best tasting sashimi compared to those Japanese restaurants in the mall area. 10/10.Choya Green Tea Ume also has an interesting taste. 6/10.Got a free soda ume by mistake but turn out pretty good tastings! Probably Japanese soda. 8/10Lovely restaurants, sweet services, amazing food. Affordable, so much worth the prices. Totally recommended this place, open late until 1am. Must try yourself

It's an izakaya that serves food until late at night, so it's perfect for when you have nowhere to go late at night. The restaurant is small, so it's good for small groups of people. The food is average.
-Yuzu Soda: It's carbonated and has a yuzu flavor, but it's not strong.
-Okunomatsu & Tenbu Jyunmai: It was sake and it was clean.
-Fried Oyster: It was the most delicious thing I ordered. It was also good to eat as a snack.
-TonPeiYaki: It’s like omurice. The sauce is okonomiyaki sauce + mayonnaise.
-Takowasabi: I don’t really remember. Just taco wasabi flavor..?
Very yummy food exactly what you expect from a good Japanese restaurant. Love the atmosphere with Love Generation music playing. My two-year-old loves the food and our server.

I absolutely adore this izakaya. I don't know what happened a year ago for it to get such dismal reviews, but you can trust that the staff here have been dedicated to rectifying those complaints.I first tried this place last year and got the Oden and I could not stop thinking about it since. Came back to Oahu for the holidays this year and this was the number one place on my list I wanted to take my husband to.It did take a while to get through to make reservations over the phone but I started calling as soon as they opened, so needless to say they were busy but it's worth getting reservations ahead of time so I didn't mind. The staff here are so polite and on top of things. Even though there were a couple of big parties, they took care of us right away and got our orders done. They let us know beforehand over the phone that it might take a while for the food because of the parties, but the drinks came out fast so it was nice to just chill and have a chance to relax. The food here is phenomenal. This is my favorite place for oden. The fish here is also one of the best on the island. The tonpeiyaki was delicious. I will come here every chance I get whenever I'm back home.
