I always come here at least once when I come to Waikiki. The food court is so big, you can always find a seat. I love Panda.

There are a lot of European people lining up here, so I think there are a lot of Japanese people lining up because they think it's popular and delicious, but the taste is average.
I ordered a drink, but it was forgotten, but the staff didn't apologize.
I ordered a drink, but when I was about to say that, a cute European woman who was standing in line told me the message without missing a beat, looking a little angry. (Thank you for that time🥲)

If you want to try American-style Chinese food, this is the place.
The taste is a typical franchise taste. It's great for a quick takeout meal. Orange chicken is a must! (It seems to be the most delicious here) I recommend string beans as vegetables.
Chow mein is not recommended. The noodles were dry and tasteless. It would be better to choose fried rice instead of noodles.

If you’re in Honolulu and looking for a quick, satisfying meal, Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center is a solid option. Known for its fast-casual Chinese-American cuisine, Panda Express delivers a consistent experience no matter where you are, and the location at the Royal Hawaiian Center is no exception. I recently visited and tried the Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles.

Detailed breakdown of my experience:
Teriyaki Chicken with Rice
The Teriyaki Chicken with Rice was exactly what I expected—a comforting and flavorful meal that’s quick and satisfying. The chicken was tender and well-cooked, with a nice char from the grill, which added a subtle smoky flavor. The teriyaki sauce was sweet, sticky, and slightly tangy—classic Panda Express style—but not overly heavy. The rice, served as white steamed rice, was soft and fluffy, acting as the perfect base for the dish. While the flavors were predictable, they were well-executed, making for a satisfying plate.
Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles
For those looking to switch things up a bit, I also tried the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles. The noodles had a slightly stir-fried flavor and were cooked to just the right texture—not too soggy, but with enough bite. The teriyaki sauce soaked into the noodles nicely, giving them a rich flavor without being too greasy. The chicken in this bowl was the same as the other dish—tender and flavorful—and it paired well with the noodles. While the dish was tasty, the noodles were a bit on the oily side, which made it feel a touch heavier compared to the rice option.
Portion Size and Value
For the price, Panda Express offers decent portion sizes. The dishes are filling, and the combination of protein and carbs makes for a satisfying meal. At around $10 for each entree (with rice or noodles), it’s a reasonable option in the heart of Waikīkī, especially for a quick, filling meal. The servings were generous, and you certainly get your money’s worth in terms of quantity.
Service and Atmosphere
The service at Panda Express was efficient, with a friendly staff behind the counter. It’s a fast-casual spot, so don’t expect a leisurely sit-down experience, but the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, ideal for grabbing a meal before or after exploring the Royal Hawaiian Center or nearby areas. The line moved quickly, and the food was ready in a short amount of time. The restaurant itself is clean and bright, with a modern, fast-food vibe.
Overall Experience
Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center offers a reliable and quick meal option if you’re looking for comfort food while on the go. The Teriyaki Chicken with Rice was simple but flavorful, and the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles added a nice variation with the stir-fried noodles. Both dishes were satisfying, and while they aren’t particularly unique or innovative, they deliver on taste and portion size. If you’re in the area and craving something quick and easy, this is a solid choice, especially considering the convenience and location.
In short, it’s not a gourmet experience, but if you’re after a fast, tasty, and filling meal, Panda Express at the Royal Hawaiian Center is a reliable spot to hit.

Located in both Royal Hawaiian Center and Ala Moana Shopping Center, you can eat Chinese food at reasonable prices. Fried rice, Yakisoba, and highly recommended Orange Chicken Bariuma.

Got super sick after eating here! Still sick with now having to go to Dr with major gerd. When I was eating the chicken I could tell it was old and barely warm and said it out loud saying this is terrible the worse Panda Express I have had. I should of stopped and now days of sickness and next Dr bills for this extreme gerd it caused
