Portion sizes just keep getting smaller and smaller but the price stays the same :/ it’s ridiculous at this point. Unfortunate bc the food is good but they’re just not getting my continued business for this reason
Portions is to small for the price but food is tasty but next time I'll go Korean barbecue, more for the price

I have never gotten a reasonably sized burrito here. They are the pinnerest burritos I've ever had. Every time. Never fails. For half the price you can get a burrito two times the size from next door at whole foods, or you can get one nearly three times the size from OMG on Waialae.

Tacos were great. Kalua pork is fire. plus green salsa is otherworldly
If you're by Kahala Mall and you have that Hispanic urge that says I really want to eat a taco. Well here's the place for you. It's the best option for Mexican fare in the area.
Your other option is Taco Bell, I guess that you could call it Mexican but I wouldn't call it food.
Back to Paniolos, it is fresh hearty food. It tastes good with a subtle variety of flavors that food is supposed to have. It's a local place, not a Chipotle so don't try to compare them. The portions are adequate to fill up a moderate eater but not over stuff you. For me the freshness of the ingredients adds to the satisfaction of a meal well prepared.
You can tell that the food is prepared with love. There is a caring that Comes through in every bite. The food tastes like the feeling you get when you've been away for a long time then you come home and your mom makes your favorite dish. That's what it tastes like to me.
Have I had better Mexican? Yes, I have. But this place has the feel of a small business owner doing what he loves, and trying to make it in a hard world by selling one meal at a time.
Seating is general mall seating. So check your expectations at the door and enjoy.
Okay… not amazing food or atmosphere. I enjoyed the food a little bit but otherwise it’s a tiny little place that’s understaffed. Wouldn’t usually recommend, but good if you need a quick bite.
This place is decent but they are really skimpy on the meat.
It is a great place to get delicious healthy food with a reasonable price!
Food was good and filling BUT my peeve is that they cant melt the cheese on the tortilla which is just not right to me, im just kinda picky like that.
They also need to stir /replace (browned lettuce) their items more regularly.
We did an online order. We did this so our food would be ready, pick up and go. So my husband picked it up this evening, and we are missing so many ingredients that we paid extra for. While we did understand people make mistakes, they do need to pay attention, especially when people are paying extra for this. We asked for double steak, there is no way that was double. We asked for veggies for multiple meals and nothing. Please talk to your employees because we spent extra money for sides that we did not get!

My friend and I visited the place because I we both liked how it looked and smelled. I really liked the photos and the Jarritos against the glass.
Now as we ordered our food, the options behind the glass looked delicious, and we luckily didn’t order with cheese (why would we).
Instead we ordered other mixes of things, but nothing could have prepared me for the taste of the bowl, The paniolo meat with the Remashed beans and salad were so good, I swear I tasted divinity itself. I swear I felt my ancestors being proud of my choices in things that lead up to this point in my life, I swear I felt EUPHORIC
I would say I had wished the Guacamole had some tomatoes in it before hand, but it was delicious regardless.
Would 100% eat here again if given the chance. Trust

Honestly I can’t figure out why these reviews are so bad. I have always had a good experience here and will keep coming back.

If a family with a toddler comes and asks about what is not spicy for the kid to eat, at least you should know your ingredients. Jalapeno is not ok. And when the parent comes back to ask for smth else because his burrito has jalapeno, the least you could do is offer an option so the toddler can eat. This happened to us and I cannot believe this business is even running.
Parents and families stay away.

Dropped in here for dinner after work out. First time trying this healthy fast food…burrito, bowl, salad option place. Service was quick, went with the bowl with Kalua Pig protein option (slow cooked shredded pork, very tender, moist and well flavored) I did a sample of the Kailua Pig and Paniolos Beef (seasoned shredded beef…also good as a sampler but Kayla Pig was really good).
Added the brown rice, black beans, grilled veggies, seasoned corn, onions, green salsa and sour cream, some shredded cheese and lettuce. It was a tasty power bowl. Could not finish the whole thing, really filling, I am sure leftovers will be a winner.
The two food prep guys behind the counter were friendly, the gal cashiering was also cordial.
I would hit this place again, but kind of pricey $20 for a bowl, with a few veggies and a drink. But maybe in the normal realm for Hawaii heathy fast food.
The grilled steak also looked fresh and tasty.
Might go with that option on a future trip.
You are dining in the mall atmosphere food court or outdoors. Parking is a little challenging in the evening I would do roof top parking near Ross and elevator or stair one floor down. Better parking options on the roof top areas. ?
Vegetarian options: For Vegetarians, Salad, pinto beans, black beans, grilled veggies, brown rice, white rice, tortillas.

You know the melon ball scoopers those tiny little round scoops? They charge you $3.63 for two level scoops. When I mentioned that and brought it up, the teenager just rolled her eyes at me. The chicken was completely bland and unseasoned, with enough of your own salt and pepper there could be some flavor to this dish. Definitely would not recommend this bland, tiny portioned, chicken bowl. $15, stop trying to beat Chipotle.
