Terrible for families with young children travelling from abroad. All sun loungers and umbrellas cost £100 per day, unmoterised watersports range from £45 upwards. The tiny supply of loungers by the pools taken from first thing and again which is enough for less than 5% of the hotel guests. no shade available. Absolutely nothing is included is included in your stay and the extra tax added to the rooms is for what?! Unlike some of the other hotels you have to pay for everything including shade in this hotel. You get ripped off and taken advantage of at every turn. Ypu have to be super organjsed in booking restaurants months in advance or wait 1.5 hpurs for walk ins. Prices for food os 30% more than most other places in states or worlwide really. Will not return to hawaii waikiki.

Booked a stay for 6 days. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing experience, this is not the place. The hotel is crowded, checking may take 45 minutes to an hour. As a Diamond member, I was the second in the precheck line, this start at 12:15 PM. Once pre checked my luggage was in the storage and I was free to do whatever I want until they call me when the room was available. Waikiki is full of restaurants within walking distance for every budget. During my stay I have found 2 negative points. In my last day, my door was knocked at 8 AM, housekeeping was asking me at what time I was leaving.... We returned to the hotel very late the night before and I requested a late checkout that was conceded for 1 PM (my flight leave at 10 PM). Once checked out, I store my luggage in a Departure Luggage Storage which was very convenient in my case, I was able to go to the Bishop Museum and had lunch at Helena's (recommended). However the area around the store smell like a trash bin with rotten food, this is unacceptable for a Hilton. Return? Maybe.

We arrived at around 5:00 PM on a Monday and had no wait to check in. We stayed on the 34th floor of the Tapa Tower in an ocean view room, but to see the ocean we had to stand at the balcony door or go out onto the balcony. We could not see the ocean if sitting at the table on our balcony because the balcony wall blocked the view. We were told our tower was built in the 1980s but we were in a room on a renovated floor. Not all of the floors in the tower have been renovated. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dated. The bulk shampoo and soap dispensers have been removed but the brackets for them are still on the wall. One morning the water in the shower came out only as a trickle so I called and reported it. I checked a few minutes later and it worked fine so I cancelled the maintenance request. The door connecting to the next room next door rattled in the wind when our neighbour had their balcony door open. Otherwise the room was nice and quiet. We never had to wait more than a minute or so for an elevator. We visited the bar at the Tapa pool, the Tropics bar, and the HauTree bar and found all the staff friendly and helpful. The food at the Tropics bar was quite good and our server Paula Y. was particularly pleasant. The dinner we had at the Bali restaurant was fantastic. Each morning at 6 AM I would get coffee at the Starbuck’s near our tower and never had a long wait. The ABC store in our tower has a good selection of ready-made meals and snacks and a great wine, beer, and liquor selection. The Round Table pizza place is a bit spartan but the King Arthur pizza is great and the staff are very nice. In fact all the staff members we encountered at the village were friendly and pleasant to deal with. It was quite busy and bustling and the pools were well-attended. We will check out other nearby hotels for our next visit but will probably stay here again, but will make sure we have an oceanfront room versus an ocean view room. With the room rate, room tax, $50/day resort fee, and other miscellaneous taxes we ended up paying $575/night.

I'm torn with how to review this hotel. On the one hand, it is fantastic, on the other, I won't return. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I can't fault the hotel for cleanliness, location and amenities, however, it is so big now (I previously visited around 15 years ago and loved it) that it feels like you're in the middle of a busy city or on a packed cruise ship. We stayed in the Alli tower to avoid the long check in lines and for the private pool. We still had to queue to check in because there were only 2 people on the desk and because check in can take a while. Also, the pool can get super busy and noisy and you are not guaranteed a sun lounger. I'm sure the hotel is amazing for people with little kids who want to make use of the pools and take part in the many activities on offer, however, as a family of three (two adults and a teenager), this wasn't what we were looking for. I attended the 6.30am yoga class a couple of times but beyond that, we made our own plans. We were unaware that there was a daily charge for the activities on offer, $50 per room, per night. We stayed 8 nights. It was an expensive yoga class. We mainly ate outside of the hotel, the shops and restaurants only being a 10 minute walk away. That said, there are many restaurants on site and we did grab a couple of takeouts. The restaurants looked very busy and there was a long wait when ordering food to take away. It was quite stressful. We did buy breakfast onsite most days. The Açai bowls were great. We also got coffee from the Starbucks next to the Alli tower, but from around 6am and for the rest of the morning, the line was around 30 minutes long. This all sounds quite negative and I am scoring the hotel 4 stars, which is a contradiction I know. Like I said, it depends what you are looking for. It is a beautiful hotel, the location is great and there is plenty on offer. Just expect that it will be super busy during the summer months. If peace and quiet is what you're after, this is not the place for you.

Very disappointed… had been here 14 years prior to my last visit, only to find additional buildings have been added to the property and found it to be crammed, limited space, and way too many people. Management has not put money into building upkeep. Mold in showers, peeling paint all over the property, safety locks falling off the door and much more. A 2 night stay for a family of 5 was over 2k and I felt like I was at a motel 6. Staff was wonderful when called upon. The only reason the account got 2 stars instead of 1. As a Hilton diamond member this hotel has come off my list and I will never visit again.

We are a family of 14 who had 4 Tapa Collection rooms in the Tapa Tower. 2 Family Rooms, 1 king partial view room & 1 Corner Ste room. All 4 of our rooms were clean, spacious, attended to (asked for extra pillows/towels) and perfectly suited for our family. Not to discount what others have experienced, here are mine regarding all the reviews I read prior - check in was fine-normal line Tapa Collection rooms have been renovated cannot speak to others, and were awesome Played at all 3 main pools - Paradise (yes, getting chairs can be challenging because thats where the slides are - Tapa & Super pools were fine Ate at Tropics, CJs, Aoki, Frescos, Round Table, Bars/Grills -(Tapa, Hau, Lagoon) Food Truck for Malasadas, Lapperts for ice cream. Reserved cars from Enterprise on property for an outing day(s) thus not having to pay for overnight parking & car rental when not using Short all is you never have to leave the village if you do not want to and there is always someone from front desk - shout out to Lawrene & Brandon to restaurants Homer & Wilmer(sp?) and around village to help where/when needed. 2 ABC stores, 2 Starbucks on site. YES! YES! YES! I would recommend any family to stay here. Was a wonderful week!

horrible!!! a disgraceful disaster ...... I do not recommend this hotel 100%. tourist trap, we paid 600 dollars a night for a dirty room with a pitiful view. empty fridge with a mini bath all broken, and tatement clean. the room moderately clean and the terrace not once in a week. we don't talk about the corridor .... dirty dirty dirty ..... the elevator you have to wait at least 30-40 minutes each time. already when we arrived the personal was not very friendly, after 2 hours of waiting for our suitcases, we went downstairs and of course they found all the excuses in the world ..... I booked more than 6 months in advance for our honeymoon and it was my 50th birthday (I had all the documents that proved it) and I asked for a beautiful room with a beautiful view.....total horror.....photos attached.. ..in addition any gypsy can go back to the hotel and ask her aunt, have her bbq.....no need to pay 600 dollars.....for nothing.you are entitled to everything..I do not recommend 10000000%. for this price go to the Aston Waikiki. which is better placed, cleaner, beautiful view, in the center ...... I regret saving for years for such horror ..... ims do not care people completely....and zero service

We stayed for 4 days at the Ali Tower. It was an incredible stay. I loved everything about it. We only left the complex once during our stay. We rented a car from Enterprise and drove to the North Shore and just really enjoyed our stay immensely. The atmosphere was very touristy, obviously and there were people from everywhere. All of the things you would enjoy about Hawaii were at our fingertips and convenient. Most everything around could be booked through the concierge and they handled the details. Perfect stay. Thank you Hilton for a great experience.

Hotel is clean and safe. Cozy rooms and a quaint village. Friendly outdoor bar on the premises. The water is amazing and beautiful. Pros: Everything is nice, blankets, pillows and towels come in a timely manner. The valet is fantastic. Shopping, Park nearby. Make a reservation for any and all restaurants. Travel size Hairdryer in room. Beautiful smelling shampoos and soap. Cons: It does get busy at times at the valet, the elevators and restaurants

If you are looking for a hotel to rest and get a good sleep stay away from Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach. Spent our first night here last night. We have a resort view room on the 11th floor. A band was playing in the bar and the music was so loud we could not sleep (that was with doors closed and aircon turned up to try to cover the noise). Management was sympathetic but couldn't do anything about it. Music ended at 11 but that is 2am - 5 am for people coming from the mainland who haven't adjusted to the time change. Management said their would move us to another room today so we see how that works. My advice would be to stay at a different hotel in the area. There are many to choose from.

- Needs updating - The rooms are dated, brown patterned carpet, beige walls, no ceiling lights apart from over the kitchenette, broken usb alarm clock, uninspiring and in need of some TLC. Beds and linen were good. - No recycling - Absolutely no sign of recycling throughout the entire village. I asked one of the maids and she said 'we don't do that here'. It's 2023, they need to be doing that especially with the amount of disposable cups for drinks and food that are produced within the village. Long queues - Check in was an absolute ordeal and left us feeling negative about the whole experience right from the start. The checking for all of the 5 towers is centralised to the main reception. 3000 guests at any time and the staffing and capacity is just not up to efficiently checking in that number of guests. We waited in line for over an hour, with a 11 week old baby and eventually got put into a priority lane because I complained. Unacceptable level of service when you have paid thousands of dollars to stay somewhere. I recommend having separated check in areas for each tower so it's more manageable or seriously upgrading the staffing and facilities. Expensive - Coming from New Zealand where we have a very high cost of living I was amazed at just how expensive Waikiki is, including all of the restaurants and cafes within the village itself, something to be aware of. Lacking Aloha spirit - All of these aspects made me feel that there is a fundamental disconnect between what is espoused and the reality of the place. This is no slight on the staff who are only working within the structure of a multinational corporation but there was a real lack of personal touch, hospitality and friendliness that the people of Hawaii so beautifully embody.
