Booked a stay for 6 days. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing experience, this is not the place. The hotel is crowded, checking may take 45 minutes to an hour. As a Diamond member, I was the second in the precheck line, this start at 12:15 PM. Once pre checked my luggage was in the storage and I was free to do whatever I want until they call me when the room was available. We arrived at around 5:00 PM on a Monday and had no wait to check in. We stayed on the 34th floor of the Tapa Tower in an ocean view room, but to see the ocean we had to stand at the balcony door or go out onto the balcony. We could not see the ocean if sitting at the table on our balcony because the balcony wall blocked the view. We were told our tower was built in the 1980s but we were in a room on a renovated floor. I'm torn with how to review this hotel. On the one hand, it is fantastic, on the other, I won't return. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I can't fault the hotel for cleanliness, location and amenities, however, it is so big now (I previously visited around 15 years ago and loved it) that it feels like you're in the middle of a busy city or on a packed cruise ship.
