Not PUERTO RICAN
To go place, no place to eat inside.
Cashier was very nice, prices are high.

We order arroz con gandules (the rice had no more than 4 gandules) and pasteles (not Puerto Rican pasteles at all).

Still the best pasteles on Oahu. Mildly spicy, smoky and sweet. I have to buy a bunch every time I visit.

We went there on Tuesday about 1100a. There's a small free parking area and street parking available. This is my go to pastele shop when I'm in kalihi. Always nice people servicing. We got the spicy pasteles and pastele stew. Good eats!!!

This place never disappoint. Location and parking is a bit difficult, but we'll worth it. Service is great, they treat you like family, talk to you like family member, and the food is to die for. The best Pastele on the whole island, in my opinion. The Pastele Shop is the only place I buy Pastele from, hands down to all their hardworking they put into making the best foods..Highly recommend it..

The food is very good and service is fast. But this is NOT a Puertorican restaurant!! It’s more like a Filipino restaurant with a Puertorican hint. If you are looking for authentic PR good; this is not it. We came because of the advertising, but we’re a little confused when we got there. Oh! And it is not dine-in either.

The food here is amazing as a mainlander Puerto Rican (which might invalidate my opinion/review lol) i 100% endorse the pasteles. This is now a guaranteed spot I come to every time I visit the island. There is no dining in it is only grab and go.

They will get you right for the price, but expect to eat somewhere else as the place is too small to dine it at. It's a great place for a grab and go.

I am Puerto Rican born in my island raised and also cook and speak my language. This is definitely not the taste we use on our island. Most will judge without knowing but I can tell you go to Puerto Rico and taste our food. Taste is completely different. Pasteles are not made the way we make them in Puerto Rico and I can understand why. They foil them here and do not use the correct ingredients due to what they have here on the island. The taste is off, texture and color is also off. the seasoning is not near what some people say on the reviews. I was very disappointed that they call this place authentic when it's not. BTW, pastele stew is something they made here does not exist in PR. and we do not use black olives.
