Definitely worth a stop, we got the pastele loco moco and another plate and pastele lumpia. All of which were amazing! Parking is a little weird and there's not a ton of room inside but there's a cool mural and the service is quick. Definitely recommend checking it out.
We went there on Tuesday about 1100a. There's a small free parking area and street parking available. This is my go to pastele shop when I'm in kalihi. Always nice people servicing. We got the spicy pasteles and pastele stew. Good eats!!!

The pastries are exactly how they are supposed to be made. Real butter, quality ingredients and made with care, you can taste it in every bite.
This hidden gem is on the second floor on the back side(mountain side) of Ala Moana mall just down from the Asian food court And that's the hack. There's is so seating in Pastele's so order you coffee, tea and snacks (it's hard to pick one thing)...
