The seaweed soup is an obscene size of boiling hot water ($17) with garlic. Its just too much. The seaweed was killed in that garlic. Shrimp tempura was great, but I don't get the pairing with white rice. Veggies are good, but I asked for noodles and got veggies instead. I got additional cup of noodles afterward, but they were also obscenely sweet. I can't. I don't know what Korean foods go together. Altogether this was too much food and weirdly paired.

Haven't been to this restaurant for almost 7 years due to my family moving to the mainland. I finally came back & the 1st place I wanted to eat at was Pearls which was my favorite place to eat before leaving. It hasn't changed, food still tasted good. They still give a good amount on the plate. The only thing they need to do is make more of the Potato salad. They ran out 2 hours before closing. I was lucky to get the last of it. I'm pretty sure if I was 1 or 2 people later, I wouldn't have got any. Regardless, Whenever I go back to Hawaii, I will always make it a point to eat there.

I ordered the tofu soup that comes with sides. The soup was a bit hot for me. My teenage son enjoyed it. The sides were great.As for the wait time it took over 20 mins and customer kept having to return there plates due to the wrong orders were given out.

Mobile ordered and didn't get what I MOBILE ORDERED. Something printed from an online order vs verbally given shouldn't be to hard to read instructions. it's very minor but still upsetting when getting home from a long day of work and opening a plate that is incorrect. Pay more attention Pearls Kahala.

This is our neighborhood mall and we come here multiple times every month. No complaints except that we usually remember to ask for the $23.49 kalbi not burnt, but if we don't then this is what can happen. I don't understand how they can let this out to customers. Especially when we find discover the burnt kalbi when we get home. Auwe. Everything else is fine.

Pearl's is a great choice if you're on a Keto/low carb diet! You can substitute the rice for an extra vegetable choice to keep your carbs down. Aside from that, it's one of the few "fast food" places that serves decent veggies. Prices seem to be up, but the serving sizes are huge so unless you're a football player, one combo order will feed two or give you some good leftovers for the next day! I like their kalbi and spicy pork combo. A little sweet, a little heat and I don't feel guilty cuz I'm eating my veggies, lol. Their yook gae jong is legit if you're in the mood for some spicy soup!

We order takeout from the Kahala Mall location. While prices have steadily increased, you can expect to get a generous amount of food that 2 people can share. We usually order a combo to share. The 4 choices of vegetables is always enough to split and even save as a leftover.our favorite combo is meat jun and bbq chicken. They recently added 4 pc mandoo for $2.99 when you add it to your plate lunch order.Food quality is very consistent.

For the second time in 2023, I had to wait almost an hour for my food - and this time, it was not what I had requested. The counter person specifically said my order will be ready about 10 minutes but when I came back in 30 minutes, it appears they had not even prepared it and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Unfortunately, to my dissatisfaction, my order of bi bim bap with no choi sum but substitute seaweed was not honored and I got their standard plate slapped together. It looks like I will NEVER patronize this place again!

Now, they're my favorite place to order from here in Kahala Mall. This deep yellow, egg-batter encased fried meat is flavorful soft and easy to enjoy. The taste is thoroughly yummy so you really don't need any dipping sauces unless you're looking for a spicy kick.The fish jun is a pretty good-tasting white fish (often mahi mahi) that I wish were much thicker slices, for the number of pieces provided is less than meat jun so you might feel a bit hungry after finishing this plate.The seaweed soup has great big deep rich beef brothy flavor and the seaweed has some firmness to it yet is simply al dente tender and soft.Consider yourself lucky if your plate comes with sides! I just walk back to the entrance area where I can still hear my order number loud and clear.The order-pick up process: place order on left side of long counter inside store, pay at same time, select side dishes if any, wait to the side until your number (bottom of receipt) is called, pick up on right side of long counter. At pick up, let them know if you need chopsticks or a fork (they might ask you first). You'll also be given a knife for meat dishes and a spoon for soups. Napkins will be included. Your food containers will be placed in a plastic bag with utensils and napkins on top. Sauces will be placed inside or inside the food boxes.Before leaving as at any other restaurant, it's a good idea to inspect your order to ensure you received the items and to ensure you are satisfied with the contents. The packing person will usually show you the contents before placing in the bag for you. THIS is the time to inspect!Prices - As expected bc of the Bidenflation and his administration's artifically-caused shipping issues, prices are ridiculously and astronomically high.
