As a young boy growing up in 'Nam, I'm used to mawing down mama-san's phō. While this wasn't bad, I found it very mediocre at best. Service was good and portions plentiful. Walking there was a bit odd having to pass a gauntlet of homeless peeps. Will probably not return ever again. Good in a pinch only.
Ordered a bowl of pho tai. The broth was flavorful and well-seasoned, with no need to add any of the available condiments. Personally, I would have enjoyed some pickled garlic or onions, but that is just preference. At $17 for a large bowl, it is very affordable for the area. Although they seemed understaffed, service was attentive and English speaking.
