I went to lunch with my friends. Although I have eaten there before, and have ordered take out multiple times, today’s experience was most unpleasant! The waiter was a young man with a thick accent (no disrespect), who kept yawning open mouth! I had to call him several times during our visit, even going up to the counter, to ask for chopsticks, napkins, water, etc! In addition, my lemon grass chicken bahn mi sandwich was MISTAKENLY made with jalapeños!!! I never had a problem with their sandwiches (this is why I wanted to have lunch there today)! My mouth was on FIRE!!! I asked for a new sandwich WITHOUT the jalapeños. ***Note: I just checked the menu. While some of the sandwiches do have jalapeños, the lemon grass chicken and bbq chicken bahn mi DO NOT. I hope the owner will speak to his/her staff about service.

This was our favorite restaurant we visited on Oahu. Very fresh and reasonably priced, the lemongrass tofu was excellent!

We ordered the oxtail pho, bun nem nuong, bun bo hue, and banh mi. Each dish ranges from $15 to $25.

Oxtail pho was good — it had a good amount of oxtail for its price.

The bun bo hue was flavorful and the vegetable plate was fresh, but the noodles were the smaller type that's often used for cold noodle dishes.

The nem nuong was a bit too dry and only had two gia gio (eggrolls), which didn't feel too filling.

The banh xeo tasted good and was decently sized but had a lot of substitutions (ie: no mung bean + bean sprouts, and used pork that's used for banh mi sandwiches).

Highly do not recommend the strawberry milk tea — for some reason it tasted too bitter and sour.

Aside from the food, the venue was spacious and parking was easy to find in the outlet area. There's a lot of TVs for entertainment too, alongside a dedicated bar area. The staff also spoke Vietnamese, which is a major plus.

I had high hopes for this place. Went there for take out. Got the house special for $21. When I got home, I had 2 slices of meat. Feels like I got scammed. $21 for soup and a small portion of noodles and little to no meat? I’m sorry, but that doesn’t make sense. Didn’t even come close to being full. Maybe different experience when eating in…

Slow service tonight. Servers were in the weeds. Didn't even have clean forks when asked. Food landed at different times.

Pho Viet is in a large restaurant space that also offers karaoke and bubble tea. It was definitely repurposed from the previous restaurant space.

The food was mediocre. The pho broth was good, but there was something off about thw quality of the meat. Some of it tasted as if it had freezer burn. Worst of all, a couple pieces of the beef tendon tasted as if it had gone bad. You know, that sweet/sour taste of fat that went bad. I elected to be safe and not eat anymore. Ibspoke with one of the workers and they said they would tell the cook. That was it.

Then there was the bubble drink. The boba was soft, chewy and warm which is good. However, it also affected the temperature of the drink. Instead of being cold, it was lukewarm as all the ice melted.

Not worth taking a second look at this place.

This is my go-to spot for oxtail soup! It’s a bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it—so flavorful and delicious. The staff is excellent. They also have a drink bar with standard Hawaiian prices, and everything I’ve tried has been great.

Ordered fried chicken. Mediocre 3/5. Service is 100% terrible (20+ minutes to get my fried chicken while the restaurant is empty). There’s also a review on Yell mentioning some kind of worm (tho from 8 years ago).

Order on Uber eats. We have a gluten intolerant person who usually is okay when eating pho. When we ordered a combo pho and oxtail soup on Uber eats, the owner called us right away informing us that they cannot guarantee the food was gluten free saying there may be soy sauce in the broth. Usually, I haven’t heard of soy sauce being in pho broth but understood. When we asked if they could cancel, the owner said “no you would have to cancel on the app.” Ok, we went to Uber eats and asked if we could cancel due to the restaurant not being able to fulfill our request. Uber eats told us they could not cancel with a full refund. I asked them if the merchant can cancel, and they said they could. I looked on Google, and “yes, the merchant can cancel if they cannot fulfill the request”. It was incredibly frustrating because all other pho places we’ve been or on Oahu have had naturally gluten free pho. I have also had restaurants cancel an Uber eats order for us. This owner was greedy today and let his customer be in the middle of an unfair situation. Extremely disappointed. I get that we could just not order on Uber eats next time, but the restaurant could have also helped us out in this case too.
