Ordered the carbonara but unfortunately didn’t taste anything remotely to an Italian dish, a bit bland plus it had way too much black pepper.

Hey guys, this has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The people who write positive reviews here or have been coming for a while probably don't know what authentic Italian dishes should look and taste like. Unfortunately, besides the spiciness of the pepper, you won't experience much flavor.

We pay $50 for this! And I’m very disappointed with what I got, looked like someone put this in the fridge and just heat it after on the pan!The past had no taste, the shrimp needed to cook more, no toppings like parmesan on top of gnocchi or garlic on top of the shrimp scampi like in the photos.Tiramisu was okay but doesn’t worth $10.

Quick and tasty pasta, great value considering other nearby restaurant prices. Wanted to go again during our Waikiki trip but waited too long to make the second order!

My favorite meal we had on the island, and at 1/2 the price of other restaurants. Highly recommend. We had three different pastas and the Caesar salad. Everything was phenomenal. Only recommendation is that they advertise the location better because we had a hard time finding it via the directions on google and Apple Maps - it was on the other side of the hotel from what maps said.

As good as always! Pesto and arrabbiata are both so great, I can never decide which one to get so I end up going back the next day ;) Service is always good. Love!

This was a great find in Waikiki for reasonably priced Italian fare! My wife and I ordered a few dishes to-go to share (carbonara, gnocchi, and scampi), and we loved them all! As other reviews mentioned, the pasta bite rides the fine line of al denté but don’t let this deter you and I found our dishes to be perfect. Also, google directions take you to the front of the accompanying resort on Lili’uokalani Ave, but Piccoloa Onda is actually on Kealohilani Ave (behind the resort). Plenty of signage once you’re on the right street. Will definitely visit again when we return to the island!

The food was really good. The pasta puttanesca was delicious (first time I tried it because it's usually not vegetarian!). The arrabbiata sauce was very tasty (the rigatoni pasta it came with was al dente, which is not my favorite so I did prefer the puttanesca which was made with a thinner spaghetti noodle). I would definitely come back!

We got the gnocchi and pesto dishes. The gnocchi was probably the best I've had: not starchy, not gluey, just happy little pillows of goodness. The pesto was on the nutty side of al dente, and pesto had macadamia nuts which was delightful. A couple things to note: this place is hard to find, and without the yelp recommendation, we would've missed out. The signage from Kalākaua Ave is minimal. Hint: it's hiding up the parking ramp off of Kealohilani Ave. On Apple Maps the location is a bit wrong: head to "Greetings from Hawaii" instead. The only downside is that the provided seating was quite dark, standing-level tables--it may be nicer to take your amazing food and eat it at the beach.

Just stopped by for the panna cotta dessert. SO yummy!!! Omg!!! I’ve had them in Italy & multiple places so I know a good one. Definitely recommend!
