Delicious and tender mahi mahi, perfect rice and peanut dressing in salad

One of my favorite go-to places on the island! The dishes are always tasty and fresh, and I especially love the combination of shiso rice, green salad, and a meat dish. The meals are well-balanced — with vegetables, protein, and light carbs — making it a great option for anyone looking to eat healthy without sacrificing flavor.

First time at Pioneer Saloon for lunch. Enjoyed the Mochiko Chicken with the Spicy Mayo. Great friendly service. So much yummy selections on the menu. Will definitely eat at Pioneer Saloon more often. I highly recommend Pioneer Saloon.

So authentic that they politely advise mainlanders about what they're ordering.

Got garlic shrimp. Food was excellent. Service was great. Prices were average for the island.

Got the Mochiko chicken plate w brown rice and ginger tofu salad. The portion of chicken was great. It was hot and perfectly crispy, juicy chunks of thigh. The spicy Mayo dipping sauce it came with was the perfect pairing. Prices were fair, servers were very kind.

The flavor of the poke is amazing. Garlic style. There is a rare Kyoto local beer. Polite customer service from people who can speak Japanese. You can rent a toilet by asking for a password.

This place is a gem! Had the ribeye and my wife had the pork katsu, both were soooo good! We took it to village bottle shop and ate there with local beers

solid choice for katsu style bento items. very crispy crunch to all their fried goods. they give you free water so i’m gonna say its a good value, especially for this area since prices are inflated everywhere.

food is great. staff is usually pretty good but there are occasional rude staff, but the managers seem nice.

the restaurant itself is really cramped so it's probably better to eat outside.

Parking: paid parking lot. like almost all the shops in SALT, validation is for 1 hour only. probably be better to park street and take out.

Got the mochiko chicken here. Was crispy and tasty, but nothing special and slightly pricey for what it was. I did takeout and the order came out pretty quickly.
