So I now do reviews only after visiting business twice...to see consistency. Our first visit to Kahala was great! We met Brion and he was very welcoming and greeted my daughter respectfully. It was a fun, talk story, very homely visit. With amazing donuts! Brion always helped me carry everything to my car!!! (I had groceries and didn't think I was buying that many donuts) Second time visiting, again, very pleasing. Very welcoming and friendly!!! I appreciate the consistency!!! My daughter continues to love the decor and this time we got merch! We love Purvé!!! Thank you Brion!!

Stopped by Purve today......absolutely amazing donuts. Ordered the not quite naked donuts....4 sugar and cinnamon......yummy. Opened the box and the luscious scent of cinnamon hits you in the face. Also ordered the coffee drink.....another great hit. Service provided by two great staff members.....greated with a smile and a big plus...a thankyou when I left. This is the most charming shop filled with tempting delights. See you all again next week.

Our addiction with Purve donuts started a few years ago and now the first thing we do when we land is head over for fresh donuts. The consistency is amazing and if you are wondering what heaven tastes like just head on over and you will find out. The staff is amazing and by the end of our weekly visits are recognizing and treating us like there best customers. I keep asking when these are coming to the mainland but until that day I guess we will unfortunately have to make the trip to Oahu.

Super friendly service. I got the sunburnt haole. I ate it right in the store so it had a really nice crunch on the outside, which i'd never experienced in a cake donut before. I thought the flavors (lemon glaze + li hing powder) went well together with the donut, though i wasn't crazy about the bright yellow food coloring. Great tasting donut!

Really really good! Even the plain glaze. So incredibly friendly! They made my son a birthday donut with a candle! Really cool cartoony wall mural. Wasn't crazy about the PB&J flavor. Will definitely be coming back. Kids loved watching them make the donuts fresh!!!

i really wanted to like this place. i really did. so here is why i did not. I learned a lot about myself today. I found out that I’m a donut traditionalist. i like donuts, just as they are. i like a good maple bar. a simple glaze is great imo. this place is a new gen social media optimized place. i understand they want to be inventive, creative, edgy, and cool… but i find that unnecessary because a donut is already perfect. as video proof below, they put in a lot of effort to make them visually spectacular. but as most things pushed in social media today, its just… ok when you bite down on it. I really wanted to like it, but was disappointed. nevermind the crazy ordering system they have, you need help from the staff, its too dang complicated with too many options. but i suppose if you are there to take selfies, this place rocks! but if you are a donut lover with a serious hankering, not the place for you.Kid-friendliness: visually spectacular
