Bugs in table seasoning …Decided to try something new and now I am officially traumatized from this experience…Upon entering, the atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming. Mind you me and my friend was the only two there?. The waitress didn’t say more than 3 words within the 20 minutes we were there but I thought maybe it was just a language barrier. She never asked what we wanted to drink, I guess water was our only option because that’s what she brought. Food was brought out rather quickly although the ramen in my opinion was very under seasoned & flavorless. I noticed there were “seasonings” on the table which I tried to use to fix it up. My friend did the same. He placed the seasoning down and at first glance I thought my eyes were deceiving me or maybe the seasoning was settling still from being shook. With closer examination, I noticed small bugs throughout the bottle of seasoning. DISGUSTED, DISTURBED is not the word. I check the next table.. SAME THING. We called the waitress she said she could remake , I politely declined. She didn’t charge us it was “ free “. There’s that . The most I heard her speak to us the whole time. One positive that I can say is that the gyoza was very fresh.I understand things happen. But that’s ridiculous. I feel for the most part sanitation wise those things should be cleaned out regularly and if that’s going on up front, what’s the sanitation in the back where we can’t see ? I wish I would’ve got pictures but honestly I was just too freaked out and disturbed.

Excellent food!! Abundant flavors! Small place to dine, but that's never an issue when food and service are both great! Quaint place. The depth of the broth... makes you look at your person and say "Wow! That is delicious! You should try this broth." The flavor and tenderness of the gyoza was beyond! Our toddler wouldn't stop eating the gyoza even without the sauce. He gobbled up the miso broth too. I think I ordered another gyoza to go, it was so good! This is a must when we come back to visit the islands again! Affordable and amazing food!

The food was ok. I ordered the katsu shrimp ramen. I should have asked for the katsu shrimp on the side. I actually wished they served it on the side. It was already soggy by the time I got my food. The noodles were overcooked. It should have been slightly cooked since the broth was so hot. This was the only thing I ordered. The restaurant was clean stand the server was really nice and we got our food quickly.

Basic flavor with no depth, clean restaurant. Definitely not as good as others on island.

My experience was OUTRAGEOUS. The foods alright, but the service and environment? It’s not pleasing. To start off, the server, front desk lady was lazy, and rude. We asked for one simple favor and she was the one who made us do it.But next, the environment. When the server sat us, the chairs were so dirty! There was one with unidentified liquid all over the chair. There was also another chair that had rice and solids that were dried up. We had to clean it up ourselves.

Was rainy and cold today so of course we were craving ramen... this place hit the spot. Everything we got was delicious and the service was great, food came out quick. The place is pretty small, but we came at a time when they weren't too busy. We got 2 combos that came with mini shoyu ramens & chicken katsu currys ( one curry didn't make the picture lol) also got a tonkotsu ramen & an order of 6 pc gyoza our total was $60.

Nice Miso broth full of flavor. Al dente thin noodles cooked perfectly. Charsiu was softer then I have been eating recently from other shops. Gyosa was very good, plump, Flavorarable and tasty (6pc) cooked well with no grill taste. I was very satisfied with my ?

Nestled in the bustling heart of Kalihi, Dillingham, conveniently located next to established local favorites like Zippy's, Ahi and Vegetable, and Egg Head Cafe, you will find Rai Rai Ramen - a culinary gem that brilliantly marries Japanese and Chinese cuisines.Upon entering Rai Rai Ramen, you are immediately drawn to the warm, welcoming ambiance. The place is clean and cozy, with an understated decor that exudes an unpretentious charm, keeping the focus firmly on the star of the show - the food.Rai Rai Ramen differentiates itself by offering Japanese ramen with a delightful Chinese flare. The result is a bowl of ramen that is both familiar and new, a culinary adventure that is comforting and exciting at the same time. The broth is rich and flavorful, brimming with umami that showcases the meticulous craftsmanship behind every bowl. The noodles have just the right amount of bite, and the toppings are a perfect complement, each ingredient enhancing the overall experience.Service at Rai Rai Ramen, while not overly effusive, is efficient and swift. Our server, though a bit shy and quiet, was polite and attentive. But what truly impressed us was the speed at which our food was delivered. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our ramen arrived almost immediately, piping hot and ready to be enjoyed. On the downside, the server could benefit from being a bit more outgoing, as this would greatly enhance the dining experience and make customers feel more welcomed. However, this minor shortcoming is easily overshadowed by the impressive quality and speed of service. In conclusion, Rai Rai Ramen is a must-visit for ramen lovers and food adventurers alike who are seeking a unique and memorable dining experience. Its innovative menu, the exquisite blend of Japanese and Chinese flavors, and the speedy service make it a standout in Kalihi's vibrant food scene. I highly recommend Rai Rai Ramen, and I look forward to my next visit.

I liked that they offered a combo set of two of their dishes. The ramen was light and the noodles were my favorite, the katsu was cooked light and cripsy.Parking: It’s part of a shopping center, a good desert is right around the corner.
