Born in Mexico and raised in Southern California here. I’ve tried numerous Mexican restaurants on Oahu. This is by far the worst one. I ordered the beef tacos and the meat didn’t even taste good. It didn’t have any seasoning either. The price is not worth it. Very disappointing

This is my favorite mexican food on the island. I love the street tacos and quesadillas. My fiancé loves the nacho burrito. 10/10 recommend stopping by this restaurant while you are just out and about at the ala moana mall or if you are visiting the island and needs a yummy quick place to grab some munchies.

Idk if this is the same taco kiosk as the one i've had a year ago, pre covid. Those tacos were fire! These "rainbow burrito" tacos are..... not so great. Approaching the stand I didn't see anyone inside the kiosk. As i got closer in front of the register and looked in, I saw the girl sitting down. I asked her if i could order. She didn't seem to pleased to have a customer and was not welcoming at all. I got #9 Three steak tacos for $12.75. The steak looks like puppy food, the tacos were bland, she only put cilantro and white onions on my tacos. I had to walk back to kiosk and tell her i wanted tomatoes. I'm sad.. I used to like this place.. not coming back here again.

Although the burrito was filling and large, it had no flavor at all and bland. Since I asked it spicy, I got a spicy sauce on the side but even the sauce didn't have much of flavor. I was filled at the end but my brain could not process quite sure what I ate.....

Very good food. I eat there regularly! I love the nacho burrito and the steak burrito. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is fresh. Freshly made and prepared. If your in Honolulu and want some mexican food stop here. The employees are friendly, quick, and helpful.

Ordered cheese jalapeño nachos and crispy chicken tacos. Nachos were slightly soggy with too many jalapeños making it too spicy hot. Not fresh. Went here because my friend wanted to try here so we went here instead of a really good Mexican restaurant in Kalihi. Good thing she ordered something and I ordered from another restaurant in Makai market and was also very disappointed. Omicron heaven.

I tried this place out on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the carnitas (#10) and the pork was super tasty. I would go back to eat these again.

My wife and I were in town again and didn't know where we wanted to eat lunch at so I suggested the Makai Food Court so we can have more selection. When I walk around the food court I cannot help but think that a lot of food here is either overpriced or smaller portions than you expected. When I happened upon the Rainbow Burrito booth in the middle of the food court I saw that the prices were pretty good so I opted for three beef street tacos for just $8.50. When I sat down and opened my lunch I saw 3 tasty looking tacos that were on the small side. The tacos tasted OK but the beef could have been more tender and more flavorful, also the spicy salsa they gave me was pretty mild. I tried to order something less expensive for lunch but I guess you get what you pay for.

Street tacos were not that great, chicken burrito was dry as the Sahara Desert. Very disappointing lunch. Didn’t even finish it, just tossed it. Please put more effort into the food!

Alright, alright...........not da bestest burrito I've ever had, but if one is on a budget & looking for some DEALAGES, "Rainbow Burrito" may meet your economical needs!!! While looking for a quick bite at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, I stumbled upon a little Burrito Kiosk at the Makai Food Court and upon seeing the BIG SIGN that said - "BURRITO Original $5.75"..........Bing! Bing! Bing! Bruddah Fran likes DEALAGES, so I figure I'd chance 'em!!! A pretty simple burrito..........you have a choice of (3) meats - Beef, Pork, or Chicken, and the burrito comes with rice, beans, and a spicy or mild tomatillo sauce. I ended up getting the Chicken Burrito........... What can I say about the grub? Not the best burrito I've ever tasted, but I would say it's a step up better than Taco Bell! Now don't get me wrong...........I not raggin' on Taco Bell, cuz I actually like Taco Bell!!! (Bruddah Fran is ghetto lil' dat!) Lol! The portion of the burrito was pretty sizable, and as you can see by my pic, the burrito was loaded as advertised! I noticed the rating of Rainbow Burrito is not so good on Yelp, so Bruddah Fran is gonna show Rainbow Burrito some LOVE!!! Solid "3.5" at least..........but gonna round it off to a "4", because service was swift & friendly! Looking for cheap eats..........go chance da Original Burrito at "Rainbow Burrito" at the Makai Food Court at the Ala Moana Shopping Center!

I went to pick up two wet burritos today . When my order was ready I asked the lady everything in the bag @ she says yes - well by the time I got back to work I was missing one of my wet burritos - I had to go to the store to pick it up , but I tried calling so that it would be ready when I got there - all I got was a person picking up the phone and hanging up on me - when I did get back to the store I told the lady that I only had one wet burrito- No Apologies were sorry nothing I just glared at me maybe my wet burrito and just handed it to me that's the last time I'm going there. The two ladies that were working today should even be working there if they can't even read an order so disappointing .

Ordered a steak burrito and it was just bland. For 12 dollars for one burrito I expected more. Honestly taco bell would be better at this point. Service was slow. Was the only person there ordering and they keep getting the order wrong. Disappointed.

Yes the reviews are true! Ordered the nachos for $11 and got 7-11 quality food. Everything was cold- meat and cheese! Waste of money here! I should've read the reviews before coming here! I hope I don't get food poisoning.

Went to the food court looking for salmon for dinner but didn't find anything suitable. Prices sure went up in the food court. So I saw this little burrito kiosk in the center area near the bikini store side advertising burrito for $5.95. That seemed cheap compared to most places $12+ and fit the "healthy" profile. It was decent size, not jumbo kitchen sink size. It had ground beef, rice and black beans. I don't recall anything else, if cheese was in there it was undetectable which is fine by me (dairy is worse than meat according to my diet restrictions). It was a tad dry but at least not oily. I put the salsa which made it just right. Did the job, got me full without feeling gross. In a massive sea of choices, it was affordable and relatively healthy. Nothing to compel you to crave it again/make special trip for it, but decent overall. Last time I came to the food court they were regulating the seating area and requiring name address phone number to just sit down. So I ate in my car then. Glad that procedure is gone. It is just spaced out seating now.

We stopped here to grab a to-go lunch. Ordered a chicken quesadilla and a taco salad with pulled pork. They charge an extra $0.50 for sour cream- did not know this when we were asked. No biggie. However, when we got home, the chicken quesadilla was a CHEESE quesadilla :( Paid for a chicken quesadilla! The taco salad was good. Of note, when we purchased the food, they just opened and were not busy.
