I really loved the omakase experience here. Chef Halo took us on a culinary journey that included hickory smoked toro and uni, the tenderest Hokkaido scallop, and foie gras with unagi hand roll, textures and flavor combinations I’ve never had before, all for $85/person. I was blown away and i didn’t have a bad bite. Delicious, thank you!

I enjoyed an early dinner at Robata JINYA as I was headed to the Ward Theaters to attend a viewing of the IVE: 1st World Tour concert video. I got there a little early and found myself to be the sole diner at this large venue.
I started with a Hendricks gin & tonic … My first surprise, I received a Sipsmith London Dry gin & tonic. It was fine; I’ve had Sipsmith previously. The manager (I think) said it was Happy Hour, so I ordered off that menu. I started by ordering six of the seven Robata-Yaki items (Miyazaki Wagyu Tsukune, Tender Beef Tongue, JIDORI Chicken Thigh, Pork Belly Chashu, Saba, and Oyster Mushroom), The Nigiri (Seared Salmon, Kona Kampachi, and Tai), and JINYA Ceviche. The dishes came in no particular order, the ceviche arrived first, followed by the sushi, then the tongue, pork belly, and mushroom. The saba arrived next, then the Wagyu Tsukune, with the Chicken arriving last.
I asked for another gin & tonic and ate everything. I would have preferred that the dishes arrived more slowly … This is an issue I’ve encountered at this restaurant in the past. Yaki should be consumed as soon as possible to maximize the flavors. Luckily, I eat very quickly so none of the dishes sat untouched for very long.
I ended my meal with a cup of tea. I ordered it just to delay my departure … It hadn’t been 30 minutes since I sat down. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal … Victoria, my server was personable and the other two (manager and server) were friendly too. The food has always been great, just a more relaxed delivery of the dishes would make it even better. My bill came to $94.25 before tip. This was a much better experience than at two other nearby restaurants. If I'm going to Ward Theaters, I'm dining here. Recommended!

My wife and I love this place. Food is excellent. Service (Kenny) is excellent. Great atmosphere. Management (Jason) is awesome too. Very attentive. Wagyu ribeye skewers, toro, smoke toro with uni, uni, and sashimi are so good. Best sushi place in Hawaii in our opinion.

Oh we had such an amazing experience last night! Our server, Joseph, made all the differences in dining out! My guest was a bit under the weather! He brought out Hojita to start and gave her another tea pot of rosemary and mint with honey that made her feel so wonderful! His recommendation on dishes were incredible! We were so happy with delicious high quality foods that were from fresh ingredients and delivered excellent taste! While many other place raised price twice and qualities went down so much, this place kept same price still and made it so much affordable than many other disappointing place in the area of Ward village and Ala Moana dining scenes! Too bad that their appearance is not flashy enough for new people to try! It’s old Nobu restaurant site in Waiea condo first floor across from theater! I love it! I love their delicious food, ambiance and service! Ask for Joseph for your server! You won’t be disappointed! He set the bar high! Mahalo! Cheers!

This restaurant was horrible. The manager is nice but the waitresses are kind of awful but they are really nice. If I could I would rate this restaurant a HALF a star. The chicken was raw and the whole family felt like throwing up. The sushi tasted HORRIBLE. Overall, I would rate not to come here.
Every Wednesday they do an all day Happy Hour. I highly recommend checking it out if you have time time. The prices are fair, the food is delicous and the staff is great. Everyone really pays attention.
Dietary restrictions: I have a nut allergy and they were extremly good about it.

This is easily the best vibe and selection of high end sushi on the island. Jason the GM is terrific and hospitable. It’s not inexpensive so for the high end customer.

I really enjoyed this place. The food is good, the price is decent and the staff were pleasant.
Food: we ordered almost half the menu and were very pleased with the flavors. Our favorite was the Lime roll, and the Nigiri. Everything else we ordered was good but the two that i mentioned are the ones i would come back for.
Dinning experience: the staff were very nice, pleasant to be around and knowledgeable about the menu (first time here and we had several questions about the menu). They were patient and happy to explain and recommend.
We were not able to sit at the sushi bar because it was already reserved but from were we were sitting it looked like a very enjoyable experience for our preferences. I would be happy to come back and try it.

The first thing that caught my eye was the ambiance. Very modern and fun! We ordered the omakase at the sushi bar and sat with Henry. Each nigiri was so full of flavor and we loved each and every piece! He was very friendly and we had a great time sitting with him. We also ordered off the menu and each dish was absolutely delicious! Service was impeccable and the manager Jason was also very friendly and attentive to us and to all the tables in the restaurant. We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back and recommending to others as well!

We were fortunate to find this little gem searching for “ramen near me,” as my foodie daughter is serious about her ramen game.
Ambiance and decor was beautiful.
Taste of Ward special was so ono (especially the robata, taki gyoza, and shrimp ishigaki).
Buta Shogayaki ramen tasted as if the broth had been simmering forever OMG so good.
But what will keep us coming back was the service. Granted we did come at 4pm so come early to avoid the dinner rush.
Our server Sabrina visited the table numerous times & maintained a patient & pleasant demeanor when asking all questions about the pre fixe menu items.
We received 4 visits from the bussers refilling our drinks & prebussing. And even the manager David (I think that’s his name I asked the host) visited 3 times & spoke to our daughter & brought her lolypops & a banana fudge icecream.
We will be back 100%!!!

My friend and I made a reservation here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. My friend made the reservation and called to make it. She made it for 9;30 and whoever was on the phone didn’t inform her that they closed at 10 and the kitchen apparently closes AT 9;30 but for whatever reason still accepted her reservation. We came and as soon as we got in the waiter was rushing us and it was an unfortunate situation because no one let us know this information.
TOKI highball is delicious.

The food, it was alright, but the prices were a little expensive for pretty mediocre food you could get anywhere else. The menu is very large and has a lot of classics but that's the issue as well, they don't have a refined menu that truly gives you great food. I'd recommend sticking to the ramen and kushiyaki skewers. The service was good but nothing special and the atmosphere was pretty good. I do warn you that the hostess and waiters outside will try to convince you that you can only order certain foods dining inside or outside. However, it's just a ploy to get you to go to their section for more tables. Additionally I made the mistake of dining outside where it is very windy so it is not a very enjoyable experience.
