We came with our family (two kids, 4 & 7) and it was excellent! The staff is great and on top of everything. The food was great! Best meal we’ve had on our trip!

Service was good, as well as the show and the ambiance. Sadly, got food poisoned from” The Empress “ dish.

I came here for dinner last night with my daughter and unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the experience. We were seated at a shared table with another family who had several food allergies and dietary restrictions. I wasn’t told my food had to be prepared last, I waited around 30–45 minutes before receiving my meal after everyone else already had received theirs.
I came in hungry and looking forward to enjoying dinner with my daughter, but by the time my food arrived, I had lost my appetite and my rice and vegetables were cold. I don’t think it was fair that I had to wait simply because of the other party’s dietary needs — they should have been seated separately to avoid this issue.
My daughter felt bad that I couldn’t eat with her, and the whole situation made the evening feel uncomfortable and disappointing. Considering the high prices, I expected a much better experience. This could and should have been handled differently.

The food is acceptable. They provide a questionable and barely useable mustard sauce. The chef finely presents. I wish I used reusable chopsticks, had pink sauce, and better seasoning. I wish to try the food again. 🥢🔪 🐟

Well it was mediocre at best. Our chef was... not as entertaining or able to multi-task as well as the other chefs around us. There was confusion from our waitress, not just for my group of 4 but the others at the table too. The food was just meh. Rice had little flavor, yum-yum sauce was sparse and missing that punch of flavor, and finally I had the A5 waygu, its supposed to be the best of the best... it wasn't. Heavily fatty and minimal meat combination. I've had way better at strip mall hibachi joints.

Food is below average. For the price that you are paying not worth it.

Dinner and a Show – Island Style!
Aoki Teppanyaki was an unforgettable dining experience! Owned by the legendary Rocky Aoki of Benihana fame, this spot brings all the energy and flair you’d expect – with a unique Hawaiian twist.
We came for dinner and were treated to a full hibachi-style show right at our table. The chefs are incredibly skilled and entertaining, turning dinner into a performance full of fire, flair, and fun. The food portions were generous – everyone at the table left full and happy.
I ordered the steak with added mushrooms and veggies – perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My kids devoured the Jidori chicken, and my wife enjoyed the prawns, which were tender and juicy. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully seasoned.
There are lots of customizable options, and the drink menu was solid – great cocktails and sake choices to complement the meal.
If you’re in Hawaii and looking for a memorable night out with great food and family-friendly entertainment, Aoki Teppanyaki is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Horrific staff. Had reservation and denied sitting because the 2 year old had outside food. (PBJ sandwich). Claimed it was Hawaiian state law that little kids cannot eat outside food. Shinji the “manager” was extremely rude and his host was even worse.

In short:
- disorganized: made us wait for almost an hour at the table for the chef to arrive (although we had a reservation)
- very poor ventilation: smoked files rooms (my hair even smelled like burnt oil)
- overpriced
- food: average at best
I do not recommend

They did not have any yum yum sauce (yes you read that correctly). The 2 sauces they serve do nothing to balance the saltiness of the dishes. Getting fried rice instead of steamed white rice costs $7 extra per person which is basically robbery. You aren’t allowed to substitute any items included with your meal. They do not give you any grilled noodles. Chef and meats were great though

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to clarify that this is Teppanyaki(flat iron grill) not Hibachi.

Great time and good food !!
We celebrated Father's Day at Aoki. We rsvp over the phone. Showed up and waited for 20-30 minutes due to our big party of 6 adults and 5 kids. Everyone was kind and friendly. They took group and individual pictures of us. They were available for purchase towards the end. The chicken fried rice, New York steak, Mai Thai were delicious!
