The Fried Ahi Plate and Papaya-Banana Smoothie were delicious. The staff at this take-out spot/produced shop were welcoming. I would definitely come back to try their ever changing menu and lunch specials. Highly recommend checking out when you're in the Kalihi area, as ingredients used in their menu help support local farms and proceeds help local programs.
Yummy wow so good if you love the rich earth tease of roots this is a must eat to place it's one of my favorites I had several kinds of dishes over a few months and yummy to it all . Like share post please
CRAZY good food. Like, sooo good. And all the vegetables and fruits are grown in Kalihi Valley and the rest of the ingredients come from other parts of Oahu/Hawaii. Locally sourced, prepared with aloha. Kokua Kalihi Valley (the non-profit that Roots Cafe is housed in) is a community-centered, wonderful, inspiring organization.
