There are actual residents living here, and random people renting out rooms or suites, so every renter basically gets a different experience—and most of them aren’t good. When something goes wrong, you’re forced to contact the person you’re renting from, even though their own guides tell you to talk to security. And let me tell you, security is completely useless.
Our room was wide open when we arrived—unlocked, exposed, anyone could’ve walked in. The parking spot we paid for was taken. When we asked security for help, they shrugged it off and literally told us it wasn’t their job. They refused to check the open room because, and I quote, “it puts their life in danger” and “it’s not their job.”
According to them, their only responsibility is to “keep the bums out of the lobby” and to kick people out if they’re not staying there. That’s it. No safety, no customer support, no accountability. Just a building full of renters fending for themselves while security stands around doing nothing.
We did not stay here. We only had to check in at the Vacation International office for our stay at Waikiki Skytower. The lobby and office were clean, the bathrooms were clean. We were given a key to get in for safety purposes.
This location is about as perfect as it can be. 2 minute walk to Starbucks. 15 minute walk to Waikiki beach 8 minute walk to great shopping abd restaurants. I highly recommend this place
I almost lost the bag where I kept my important documents and passport, but thanks to the security staff’s help, I was able to get it back.
Thank you so much for providing such excellent service!
I’ve been staying at this Airbnb for over a month, and unfortunately this has been one of the most uncomfortable and poorly managed experiences I’ve had. This is the second (or third) issue we’ve had with management, and at this point we feel singled out and unwelcome in the building.
Most recently, we were confronted in the gym and spoken to in a condescending tone over a “shoe rule” that is vague and inconsistently enforced. Just yesterday, another guest was doing yoga in the gym completely barefoot with no issue—yet today we were immediately threatened with being kicked out on a first warning, despite not using any equipment or weights. The difference in treatment is hard to ignore, and it has made us feel unsafe, uncomfortable, and targeted.
Communication from management has felt dismissive and unprofessional, and we never felt cared for as long-term guests. This stay has caused more stress than comfort. I cannot recommend this listing.
Good location a block from the main strip. Things could use some repairs and updating but it was clean and comfortable. View from our room was excellent
I’ve noticed that Diana, the front desk lady, has consistently been the only staff member who comes across as unwelcoming. Tonight was especially frustrating — it was 2 AM, I had just gotten off work, and my keys were upstairs. Even though she knows I live in the building, she refused to open the door and told me she’s “not responsible for me.” That kind of response is unprofessional and shows a lack of basic empathy or respect for residents. Everyone else at the front desk has always been kind and helpful, which makes this experience stand out even more. We all deserve to be treated with courtesy and understanding, especially in our own home.

After posting our review I was contacted by Royal Hawaiian Adventures. We moved out after our stay of 3 nighys and were given a refund of the thousand dollars we spent to be upgraded. Will just write off the money spent at auction as a very generous donation to the school district. I really appreciated Marie’s help in getting the refund issued so I added another star to my original review below
We are on day 2 of our vacation. We got this trip through an auction at the kids school. Spent a couple thousand in the auction & then spent another thousand to be “upgraded” to a luxury resort when booking through the Royal Hawaiian Adventure Club.
Yesterday, our arrival date, it took over 2 hours to get checked in. We arrived at the property, there is no one on site to help. There is a security guard for the building but the units are individually owned. No one had the code for the lock
box to get our key. The after hours line for the travel club (located in Las Vegas, NV) spent over 2 hours trying to track down the info. Almost 3 hours later we were finally in our room.
The unit is bare bones. We were told there was a pullout couch in the living room for the kids. Nope, just a futon. 4 towels for a week for 4 people. 1 travel size shampoo.
Day 2 (today). We decided to make the best of our trip and stay away from the unit. Came home after a long day enjoying the beaches and the island. Went to turn the shower on for the kids & the shower rod came crashing down on my husband’s head. Unable to shower without a shower curtain without getting water everywhere & there’s not even any towels to dry the place.
This place is a fiasco all around. Total waste of money. Planning on leaving & finding another place to stay and disputing this with my credit card company.
Central to Waikiki.
Good! This is our second time here and we plan to come back again on future visits to Waikiki.

Just an overall great location. Easy to get in and out of waikiki being close to the ala wai. Starbucks right across the street. Great mexican food next store. Ross's across. If just budgeting or need a quick junk food.Mcdonald's is right across the street as well. 7th floor, pool, large covered dining area, putting green, big BBQ area and and activities room, billiards, darts , ping pong ect. Parking structure easy to access well lit and stall sized for full size vehicles.
Loved staying here!
Old Hi-Rise condo bldg.
Big part is AIRBNB.
Best location.
But if you like newer and dated rooms , look somewhere else.
Walking distant to beach. We stayed in a time share.
For our first time to Hawaii it was very nice. We were worried about bugs as the climate, but we had no issues. The air conditioning worked great. No issues with any of the facilities either.
