We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. The waiter was excellent! The first waiter we've had in a long time that wasn't trying to get us to order everything on the menu so he could get a bigger tip. It was a pleasant surprise to have someone who did just the opposite, and told us about a few items we could order and share to help us save money. We still ordered what we wanted, but gave him a 22% tip. It may have been our first time tipping that high. Next time we visit Hawaii we will dine here again! Thanks for the pleasant experience!

We had an unforgettable dinner at Ruth's Chris Waikiki. Thank you for the beautiful rose, the thoughtful strawberry treat for our kids, and the lovely wedding anniversary plate. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. Truly the best steak in the world—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the 12oz ribeye, medium well. It arrived on a hot plate doused with butter, which was a nice touch. However, the meat itself had little to no marbling. Although the advertising is “never frozen,” the meat had a very grainy texture which was unpleasant. My wife had ordered lamb chops, also medium well. They arrived with a nice sear on the outside but were rare to medium rare on the inside. Overall, the food was disappointing given positive the reputation that Ruth's Chris has earned. Otherwise, the staff was extraordinarily friendly and attentive.

Visited around 5 PM on June 8, 2025. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated at an outdoor table.
There was an East Asian male server with short hair and glasses who was extremely rude.
He kept checking in with the Western customers at the table next to us—asking if everything tasted good, if they needed anything, etc.
But for us, he didn’t say a single word, didn’t show us the meat before serving, just brought out the portions straight to the plate.
We also ordered lobster, but he forgot to bring it out, and only did so after we waited over 1hour and asked about it.
The whole experience ruined the mood. We didn’t even want to leave a tip, but ended up giving one just to be done with it.
When we first placed the order, we got over 600g of steak plus a lobster, but the server kept insisting the portions would be too small and that we should order more. We told him we’d order more if we were still hungry, but he replied that additional orders would take more than 30 minutes and gave us a look of disapproval.
After that, he didn’t say a single word to us for the rest of the meal.
In the end, the amount we ordered turned out to be just right. The steak portion was actually so generous that we even had one piece left over.
If this restaurant wants to succeed, they seriously need to improve their service. Even if the food is good, one bad server like that can completely ruin the restaurant’s image.

We love coming to this Ruth Cris! The food has always been exceptional and the service over the top! We have a baby with us now and our waiter and the staff were wonderful with her and understanding about the mess babies make let alone the loudness. We also were celebrating Fathers Day early and they made it very special!! Thank you Ruth Chris for another enjoyable meal and service!! We will see you next time!!

Our waiter Chris was absolutely amazing! The best and friendliest service I have ever had. Food as always is top notch. It's not our 3rd anniversary but that was my husband's fault 😂

Our server David was a treat. He was attentive and kind at every step of service. Actually, all the staff were, from host to busser. My friend and I shared a cozy both near the bartop, nice and tucked away from the main restaurant. The drinks were stellar, and omg, the ribeye was the best ribeye I've had. Cooked to perfection. Same with the lobster. I gorged myself on that steak, I'm a small girl but it was so yummy I couldn't stop myself and I finished half. We weren't having a special occasion but the manager surprised us with a flaming strawberry dessert!!!!! I would love to bring back family or a date next time I'm on Oahu.

Service staff and management are top notch. Personable, professional with a relaxed laid back quality yet high end service. Food and drinks were fabulous as usual, the Ahi entree is a favorite. Our go to special occasion dinner spot.

A place of this caliber should have much better time management and customer care, especially when it comes to basic expectations like dessert timing and billing. Very disappointing.
Food was great and our server Bryan was great. However we showed up 15-20 early, but didn't get seated until our scheduled reservation time.
