I went to this restaurant for the first time after being invited by an acquaintance, and since it was lunch time, it was a set meal. The place was full and there were 3 of us at the counter, and I had the grilled mackerel set meal.I'm sure $19 is expensive in Japan, but it's cheap here, and the grilling is good. It's fatty and very delicious.Next time we will visit for dinner.Parking: During busy periods, the free parking lot is full, but paid street parking is available.

Wow. This place is delicious. Probably the best sashimi I have ever had, and while I do live in a land-locked state, I have been to several sushi places all over. I was thoroughly impressed. And our host/server was delightful. Highly recommend. Also the yuzu tea cocktail was delicious and refreshing as well. Highly recommend.

as someone who's lived in Japan for a bit, I gotta say this the only restaurant so far that I've enjoyed as the quality is the same as in Japan. Service: As someone with a food allergy, i think service and waiteress/waiters knowledge about food allergies can tell me a lot about the entire restaurant. when I told them about my peanut allergy, they let me know they don't have but they'll double check. and sure enough, was completely fine. but of course, if you are going to be an authentic Japanese restaurant, you wouldn't have peanuts in your food. 10/10 do not recommend for big parties as they dont have too mang seats, but for a small quiet date or get together, this is a great place to go.

This place is very pretty. The ambiance is calming and the service is very friendly and prompt. Great food and drinks all around! Finding parking isn't as hard as it seems. Would definitely dine here again.

The food was very good, as was the service. The place wasn't crowded but seating is limited. We were asked to leave to allow for new diners - there were three empty tables.

Food was very tasty. The server was extremely helpful and explained the lunch menu well. Nice, clean, relaxing spot to eat. Would definitely come back.

Very refined and creative Japanese cuisine (eg lotus root w/cheese, fried stuff eggplant, etc). The sashimi and sushi is always very fresh. Easy to get to with parking in the back.

Sakura terrace has delicious Japanese food and an adorable interior decorated to match the vibe. We come here frequently for dinner, but the lunch special Sakura chirashi is my favorite thing that they serve. At $20-something it comes with a large variety of fresh and tender fish. I consider myself a chirashi bowl connoisseur, and Sakura terrace has my absolute favorite. For dinner you can't go wrong with anything, but their tempura dishes are some of our favorites. The batter is light and crispy and everything is fried fresh to order. Our favorite rolls are the ohana and spicy double tuna, and when it's available, the tenpai yaki is also a favorite (it's like an okonomoyaki turned omelette). The grilled chicken is also really good - I don't like chicken and I especially don't like grilled chicken, but this one is well seasoned and extremely moist! I definitely underestimated it before tasting it for the first time. All of the food comes out quickly here, so you won't be waiting around for ages once you order. They tend to be busy so I recommend making reservations or coming near their opening time if you plan to walk in.

We got there around 11:30am without a reservation. They had a decent size of the parking lots. I am not sure exactly how many spaces (10 to 12) We got the last space. The place was pretty full. We were promptly seated the patio with the roof over. I ordered shiosaba set and my friend ordered nori bento. She was very happy with that fact that the rice was very good and her salmon didn't smell fishy at all. I enjoyed my salted mackerel (saba) with daikon radish together just as we often eat a mackerel. Miso soup wasn't my taste, but overall food was pretty authentic Japanese like I used to have when I was growing up in Japan. Service was very swift and attentive as well.

Yelp has three segments for writing reviews: food, service, ambiance. I am sad to give Sakura Terrace 3 stars only because they lack ambiance category. I recommend reservation as other Yelpers said. When I called for 12pm reservation the gentleman was very accommodating but I ended up taking 12:30pm. When we got there, the parking lot was full. There's about a dozen parking stalls. So we had to look for street parking. We were sat in a small room next to the window without any shades or blinds under blazing sun. The restaurant was full and the server couldn't move us. As for the food, I ordered the Saba lunch set, $17. It came with soup, salad, one whole fish, two kind of side seaweed, and mashed up Kabocha squash. This lunch set reminded me of old Sushi King/Gyotaku. The atmosphere is on the nostalgic feel with lots of old timers dining in. We did wanted to try one of their dessert but we were roasting away. Besides, the server seem too busy that it seem like too much trouble.

Always knew this place as covid-time gourmet bentos but decided to dine in for dinner. Nice range of low priced tekka to beautiful sashimi and sides. Macadamia nut tofu was a stand out hit. Palm heart tempura and nasu gyoza also delicious. Tempura batter wasn't very crispy but appreciated they served some with salt.

Super fresh, clean, quality fish & seafood. However when compared to 'fine dining' I think the flavor wasn't as unique and was more so straight forward aka prepared very well but not curated to be an amazing unique holistic dish. For restaurants that pride themselves in elevating the quality and simplicity of a meat, I do still wish the chef chose different accessory side dishes/glazes/spices/toppings that would enhance the flavor of the fish/seafood as opposed to just producing a perfectly cooked fish/seafood. Eg. Kinjiro in LA is a perfect example of how the chef cleverly elevates and highlights the fish/seafood. From Best to Least: * Japanese toro, sashimi (~$100) - incredibly fresh and had a beautiful cut but still was very straightforward in flavor * seaweed soup - I normally don't prefer this but this was expertly prepared and offered such a unique experience. * grilled butter brushed abalone * butter fish * squid - extremely tendered with a subtle crisp. The aioli sauce wasn't anything special and didn't compliment the dish * garlic shrimp - objectively more tasty than the squid but the squid had greater finesse in cooking so I liked that dish slightly more. Comes with shell & head on so peeling was not the greatest joy in the world * tempura - could pass on this. Very straightforward and batter was soggy. * monkfish liver - fun to get for the novelty but was done ok and a bit dry Summary: Had a pleasant time, a bit over priced for what it is, but still quality dishes. Probably would try other restaurants first before returning back to this one.

A great blend of traditional and hip, serving a really unique menu of Japanese delicacies.Suggest the mac nut tofu and their signature rekkon cheese (Japanese style mini pizza) appetizers to start. The sushi selection is of highest quality. Save room for these desserts (if your lucky, the daily dessert will be their cheesecake.)

Is delicious. Lotus root cheese is awesome! The coconut tempura was also good. You can order anything with confidence. You can also order bento boxes for takeout. I took a ribeye steak bento home to a friend who was coming home late.
