I think the cook went home and the bus boy did the cooking, chicken was extremely tough and fried, the stir fry was under steamed and no spice or sauce. Hardly no flavor at all!

The garlic shrimp place was out of this world! I returned the next day and it was the same outcome, from the service to the over-all vibe it was fantastic If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!

The matsuri tofu was unbelievably good. Great portion and an extremely reasonable price for Waikiki. The drinks are also fairly cheap!

The bartender was rude and the place is just not set up very well, difficult to find with confusing online ordering process.

Very expensive for what little you get . A tiny portion of chicken and literally just a few pieces of lettuce (no rice was given). Great atmosphere for drinks because it sits by the pool, but food is not worth

It was the worst service Iv got in whole Hawaii stay. The waiter guy brought the check while we were eating, took all the plates that food was still on them. Very unpleasant.

I ordered the tofu with Matsuri sauce plate (rice, potato salad, and salad) and loved it—so much flavor and a really satisfying vegetarian option. The gentleman who took my order was super friendly too. Highly recommend and will be back 😊

Hidden at the pool of Aqua Bamboo hotel, this relocated restaurant serves up some decent plates in a nice atmosphere.

I got a steak and garlic shrimp plate which is what I picked up several times post pandemic when service was not up to speed yet. Now that it’s up n running again it was nice to sit by the pool and eat while hot.

The Garlic Shrimp is fantastic and I love that the shell is removed. The steak was a bit tough this time but the flavor was on point. I got a terriyaki sauce recommended by the cool server.

Good sevice and comfy setting. Try Sam’s Kitchen.

Ordered the garlic shrimp with ahi for takeout. Shrimp was tasty, but would’ve liked a little bit more of a crunch. Ahi tuna was nice and fresh. Seems like a nice place to eat in even though I orders takeout- a little hidden but has nice seating and by a pool. Very kind and accommodating workers, I showed up as they were cleaning up around 20 mins before closing, and they were willing to make me a takeout order even though it seemed that the kitchen was already beginning to clean up. Thank you!

I was only there to purchase Togo order and while waiting around for 15mins for food, I got 4 mosquito bites. Place is dark and services folks seem too busy to provide good service

Came here tonight after seeing such high reviews online. I found the food to be average. Nothing super exciting. I ordered pineapple teriyaki chicken with the potato salad.

Potato salad was fantastic! I ate it so fast. The chicken left something to be desired. I felt like I needed more sauce. Mine tasted as if it was just lightly dipped in the sauce and put onto the plate.

Atmosphere was good! Lots of seating in the Waikiki shopping center available, although tricky to find at first.

Overall, I would still come back and order again. I would just try something else! Clearly the people have spoken and this is a good spot, so I trust that maybe this was an off-night.

I had a traditional plate lunch with a couple drinks. The food and beverages were great and the staff were very friendly. This is a hidden gem tucked away kinda far back off the street.
