Overpriced for a subpar meal in subpar atmosphere.

The bartender was also flirting with 17-year old Japanese girls.

We arrived at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 24th.
Initially, the restaurant wasn't open, and a staff member told us the chef would arrive at 11:30 AM, so we should come back then.

When we returned at 11:30 AM, we were seated, but the chef wasn't there.
That same staff member came over and said the chef would arrive at 12:00 PM.
We waited at our table for 30 minutes. At noon, when I asked the staff member if the chef had arrived, he said the chef would come next at 12:30.

Since it was our last day of our honeymoon and we didn't want to waste any more time, we left.
This experience at this restaurant was the worst part of our entire honeymoon.

I'm writing this down so others won't have to wait any longer.

This is a hidden gem! Love this place! Affordable and delicious healthy food with great cocktails in a tropical oasis setting! Not crowded or overpriced like most places in Waikiki!

This place turned into a regular hangout for my wife and I when we were in Oahu. Very good food, cheap drinks and away from the tourism. Super chill and friendly bartenders.

Food: garlic shrimps was decent but missing the crunch. Spicy garlic shrimps was too spicy for us to enjoy. Potato salas that came with it had too much mayo on it.

Service: takeaway wait time for two orders took way longer than I anticipated

Atmosphere: a nice ambient and chill place to sit and relax. It's a good place to go on a date.

We got the Garlic Shrimp and Ahi Poke from Sam’s Kitchen in Waikiki, and both were absolutely delicious!

The garlic shrimp was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of rich garlic flavor. It paired so well with the rice. The ahi poke was super fresh, seasoned just right, and had great texture.

The staff were friendly and the takeout process was quick and easy. We enjoyed the meal with a bottle of wine at our hotel — great portions and excellent value for the price. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Hawaiian flavors in Waikiki!

This is a small place that you might completely miss. It is at the Bamboo hotel on Kuhio ave. It has a casual laid back tiki bar vibe with thatched umbrellas along the poolside. It is open air but there is ample seating closer to the bar if it happens to rain when you visit. Staff is experienced, friendly, and attentive. We came at lunchtime so I’m not sure what the place is like in the evenings but it might be even better with the place lit up! As for the food ordered the extra jumbo shrimp with their original garlic sauce. We also ordered the top sirloin NY steak cooked med rare. We ordered the steak as “da plate” so it came with rice, potato salad, and salad. We also got a side of the pineapple teriyaki sauce. I wish they sold the sauce in a bottle to take home! Anyway, chill vibe, good service, great food, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

The old alley location was better. This food made my wife and I sick for a few days. Chicken was not as pictured. It was cubed up breast that they precook and deep fry. Super dry. We loved Sam’s at old location but this one is not good anymore unfortunately. The quality is just not there anymore as we remembered. Also staff were all eating and cruising. Not once checked to refill drinks.

The food was delicious, but it took a very long time to be served. It seemed that several other groups were also asking the staff about the delay.
However, a staff member named Alex (sorry if I got the name wrong) provided us with excellent service, so I’ll give four stars. Keep up the good work!
