Hawaii Food Reviews

Reposted from @hawaiifoodreviews ????? ?????? (?/?? ?)?????: (? ?) Overall we thought the food at Seoul Kimbap was very good. ???? ?????? $?.?? (?:1) is my favorite Kimbap there. I do wish there was some American Cheese though. That would make it perfect! My wife prefers the Spicy Pork Kimbap. She says the Kimbap is the closest to homemade she's had in Hawaii. The wifey was born and raised in Korea so I'll take her word for it. You also get some fish cake soup with each order of Kimbap. I forgot to take a pic because I was excite to have the ?????? ???? $?.?? (? :2) is one of the wifey's faves. It's rich and hearty but balanced out by lots of kimchee. It is a Kimchi Soup of course!.???????? & ??????????: (? ?) We don't usually rate service for takeout but the service is always so friendly and welcoming we had to. It's like one of those friendly mom & pop shops you see on K-drama..????????: Highly recommended. This is one of those places that just make you feel happy and satisfied. They have no IG but are located in Pioneer Plaza at Fort Street Mall.

One of my fave places for lunch that I added to my rotation. The spicy pork bibimbap and kimbap are delicious and I like the fishcake soup. The spicy tofu soup is pretty spicy for those who like spicy food. Prices are very reasonable and the workers are super efficient and sweet. Love that the takeout line moves quickly!

I don't know how I overlooked this place for so long! I've walked by it so many times when it was in the Remington building. Today, I finally visited in its Pioneer Plaza location, looking for some yummy Kimbap, as this place has great reviews. I was also interested in the Soondubu, but, alas, it was not Soondubu day. I picked up the bulgogi kimbap, which comes with the fish cake soup. The kimbap is sooooo tasty. Way better than 88 Mart or H mart (or are those not fair comparisons?). The meat was so flavorful and tender. The fish cake soup was so good too! It smelled so good and tasted even better. I can't wait to come back and try the Soondubu. I bet it's amazing. I also want to try the spicy pork. I only wish it was closer to my office -- it's quite a hike in this hot September weather. Absolutely recommend! I can't believe they aren't totally swamped with customers daily!

If you work near Pioneer Plaza in downtown, 900 Fort Street Mall, Seoul Kimbap is one of the lunch places you can try if you enjoy Korean Maki sushi. Their menu is mainly Kimbap with special menu for the day. You can choose from different flavor of Kimbap. I chose fried tofu and beef flavor. I was pleasantly surprised that each Kimbap comes with fish cake soup. The staff are very nice and polite as other Yelpers mentioned. They even pack your food nicely with napkins and utensil without having to ask for one. What a nice service! Both of the Kimbap were good and fresh. I also enjoyed the free fish cake soup. I will be back to try some of their daily special.

Got the bulgolgi bibimbap and was really impressed with the quality of the meat. Very tender and the marinade was just perfect! It came with a free fish cake soup and price was good. Girl at the counter was very friendly and overall the food had a very wholesome/family cooking feel.

Definitely my favorite Korean restaurant to pick up lunch from in Downtown Honolulu! The staff are always so polite and friendly. The food tastes excellent. I especially love their Soondubu/Bulgogi set!

Second time coming here and the food definitely reminds me of what I ate in Korea! Food has that unique homemade taste and is a bit different from other Korean restaurants I’ve tried in Hawaii. I had the soondubu set with the spicy pork and a tuna kimbap. The kimbap is a bit expensive compared to other places that have it (ex palama) but you can definitely taste the quality. I’ll try to come back on a Tuesday or Thursday when they have the kimchi soup!

I love going to Seoul Kimbap on my lunch break. It’s a little family run business and they are great. Service is absolutely top notch here, you never have to wait more than a few minutes to get anything they are fast and efficient. The gal at the cash register is so sweet and very professional. On top of that their food is amazing, everything I’ve tried from there is fresh and tastes so good. I look forward to the days when I get lunch from them, they are my go-to.Please try them out you won’t be disappointed!

There's a reason this spot has so many five star reviews. Great, great food, reasonable prices, really kind/friendly staff (who if I'm not mistaken is a family!!), and options for various diets! Whether you're vegetarian, pescatarian, or a full on carnivore, I'm pretty sure you can find something to eat at Seoul Kimbap. And you should, because their food, albeit simple, is deliciously home-y as it surely was made with love, care, and what I assume to be tradition (in terms of culture and cooking). I can't say enough about this little spot! Downtown lunch goers are truly enamored--you know how I know? There's always a line!!

This has become my regular lunch spot! Such a great place for delicious homemade Korean food. They are extremely kind and you can tell that love and care was put into every dish that they make. I highly recommend not only for the fantastic food, but for the experience as well!

I absolutely love the owners at Seoul Kimbap. They are the kindest and MOST generous individuals ever. I studied abroad in South Korea for a semester, and their kimbaps really hit home for me -- the food is authentic, made with quality ingredients, and definitely made with love. I find myself coming here every week, and when I do come into the office, I find myself visiting them a few times a week. My favorite is the beef and tuna kimbap, and occasionally I would mix it up and grab a bibimbap. If you're ever in the downtown area, please visit them! You'll definitely be impressed. Find them at fort street mall! And TIP! Come early because they sell out fast!

I've heard about this place, first time here and the food did not disappoint. I got there after 1:00 p.m. so they had a bowl and one bento left. I got the last bowl n it was so delish and the two women who work there definitely made me want to come back, both the sweetest ever! The bowl had the right amount of rice, perfectly seasoned bulgogi n veggies n yummy gochujang sauce! The fish soup that came with the bowl hit the spot. I want more!! I'm high on quality and customer service, I will be back soon. If you are in the area near Fort Street Mall in downtown, come here for a yummy lunch. U won't regret it, worth it!!!
