The chef makes amazing bento! I tried the Hire Katsu Bento (Pork Tenderloin Katsu) from the August Monthly Special Menu. The bento came with rice, salad, and side dishes. Each component of the dish went well together and had great flavor. The katsu was juicy and crispy, and the portions were filling and certainly worth the price!Compliments to the chef and his wife who take time to talk to their customers and make them feel at home. The restaurant is located on the second floor and has nice two person balcony seating.If you’re looking for authentic bento in Honolulu, Sho’s Kitchen is the place to go!

Great service and people, amazing food.

Decided to venture out into the city during our 5 hour layover (kids in tow) for lunch. This place hit the spot for lunch. The guy at the counter was super helpful. I personally really liked their pan friend king salmon.

Outstanding bento. Great quality food and terrific flavors. Way above average. The owner / chef is extremely nice and his background as a top tier chef really shows in the quality and creativity of the food. Will definitely be back!

Love these smaller places which are filled with all heart and soul poured into their business.Sho's Kitchen is just that. Run by Chef Sho and wife Miki, the food is delicious and more than reasonably priced. Have now been there for "Chef's Table" dinner and a lighter lunch. Will definitely return for both!

Our to go bento place in Waikiki. They offer high quality Japanese home style cuisines at reasonable price. Chicken Nanban (fried chicken with tartar sauce) is my favorite.

I have traveled the world and tonight I had the greatest dining experience of my life. We had a special chef’s table with my family tonight. The food was exquisite and the owners we fabulous hosts. This was a bucket list moment with the most fantastic meal of my life. You owe it to yourself to dine a Sho’d Kitchen.

Go now. We had heard about Sho's Kitchen online and made it a point to stop by for a take home dinner. Great flavor and huge portions. Great local business. Delicious Chicken Nanban.

Chef's table (Aug 2021) was wonderful! The chef makes it a point to socialize with the diners as well.It's our first time and wow! My husband and I will definitely be back (maybe with relatives if they're able to visit Hawaii). BYOB or wine :)

This place offers special bentos on a monthly basis. I just called to ask them and ordered over the phone. Each bento cones with rice, salad, and a potato salad. Would recommend you order over the phone as it is madento order. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Well worth the experience. Located in 808 Sheridan on the second floor. Recently opened about 2 months ago.Friday and Saturday you can book the Chefs Experience. The option is only 1 sitting so only 10 seats that is open air.The food is is great and the experience is even better. It may not seem like a lot but by the time you get to the 8th course you are pretty full.
