This humble Vegan Asian spot in Honolulu is a must dine. As a carnivore with a penchant for non-meat dishes this place hit all the spots. Atmosphere isn’t anything but I couldn’t bear to give anything less than five stars across the board because this food is to die for if you love Asian food. I had the sweet and sour ribeye (vegan) and the family tried some noodle soups, coconut curry, and fried rice and it was perfect all around. The lady who was serving us was sweet and this place makes for a great meal. If I find myself in Honolulu again this place can expect me to come back and feast yet again. Coming back around for an update after our second visit to Oahu & the fourth or fifth time we have eaten from Simple Joy’s kitchen. What you have here is a no-frills, delicious Buddhist-Vegan Chinese eatery. The service hasn’t ever been a very warm reception when we visit but it’s counterbalanced by really delicious vegan fare we enjoy the grilled chicken, which is a garlicky dish served with broccoli, rice & assorted vegetables. We always start with spring rolls, which are delicious. We’ve explored the menu some & there are some varied ethnic dishes on there which we’ve enjoyed, but always come back around to the grilled chicken dish! Disregard all the bad reviews!!! My family and a group of friends read them and the good reviews and decided to go for it! Best decision ever!!! ?? the service was great the young guy who works here is super helpful and happy to help! The atmosphere was perfect. And the place was well cared for and clean. (Saw no cockroaches something a few reviews complained about.) Saw a bunch of traps for roaches with nothing in them. Now down to the most importantly bit, THE FOOD!!! Absolutely incredible hands down. We got their burgers, spring rolls, pumpkin soup, summer rolls, spring roll noodle dish, curry, tofu eggplant(not super good) pho, (so good!!) And Thai tea, avocado smoothie. Banana lumpiA. Just name a few!! All where completely AMAZING! Best vegetarian restaurant. If you have a group of friends with different tastes, they have, Italian, Asian, American, AND SO MUCH MORE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! A MUST GO!!!!!!!!!!Also the cute Asian guy is super helpful!!

Food is really good. Hell yeah, cozy little restaurant, the staff are polite and just I said, the food is really really good. My food was brought pretty fast. Ambiance wise it's good and A.C temperature was also moderate, neither too cold nor hot. Dishes and cutlery were spotless. Over all a really nice place to bring friends or perhaps even eat alone.

The best mapo tofu I've ever had! All the food is delicious, with so many options and different cuisines. We visited twice while staying in Honolulu, and I was impressed with the speed of service and how hot and fresh all the dishes were.Vegetarian options: All veganDietary restrictions: Gluten free clearly marked, all vegan so dairy and egg free.Parking: Free parking at back, accessible by transit and walking distance from Ala Moana mall.
