Just ok.Came here from watching a vlog. The soup is still better in Singapore and was quite pricy.Laksa sauce was very watery. I would skip this and just stick with the lemongrass chicken.

The noodle soup is very good!! Tastes like Singapore!! The blue rice shrimp plate was also delicious.

SingMaTei is situated within a food court. Despite being standard pricing for the food court, SingMaTei stands out for its Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine. It did appreciate the short lines and prompt service make up for it. I ordered the lemongrass chicken with white rice and tried the blue coconut rice. The blue rice tasted more like lemongrass than coconut so it was misleading. I appreciated the generous portions, which could easily serve two. The dish's flavor was okay, and the chicken was cooked with a good texture. The ambiance was busy, particularly due to the holiday atmosphere at the mall. Overall, my experience was positive.

My parents love this spot at the food court! Fast service, large portions, and eye-catching blue rice platters make this a staple in my recommendations for lunch while shopping at the Ala Moana mall.

I would eat here everyday for every meal if it didn't hurt my wallet and health. ?I LOVE laksa and I can't get enough of it. The soup is so delicious and addictive ? ? I can say that I love laksa more than ramen ?.Other favorites: curry look funn, hainai chicken rice.

I've always seen this place with its blue colored rice and always walked by. One day, I decided to give it a try so I ordered the blue coconut rice with the lemon grass chicken. They gave me lemon grass laksa instead. I decided to just eat what they gave me even if it was the wrong order. Thank goodness I ate the laksa for the very first time in my life. It was the bomb! I loved the thin noodles with the curry soup and lemon grass chicken. It was so tasty. The last time, I got the plate I wanted to try the first time, and it too was delicious! The blue rice was coconut rice, but very light coconut taste if any. The lemon grass chicken was on point with their little cup of curry sauce they provided to dip your chicken in. It was really tasty. We also had the pineapple look funn with shrimp. Very little shrimp, but the dish was very tasty. Very nice surprise. I look forward to trying more of their dishes. It is never full here, as people haven't caught on to this jewel yet. Maybe they are confused with the blue rice like I first was.

If you are a fan of noodle soups (eg ramen, pho, saimin) or of curry, and never had laksa, you should try it at least once! SingMaTei’s rendition tastes authentic. There was both mifun and saimin noodles inside, and the laksa broth was excellent. At $15.95 + tax for the tofu laksa, many other good (better?) choices could be had at the Makai Food Court, but I have to admit, the portions are generous - enough for two, if you’re not super hungry. 5 Stars.Hainan Chicken Rice didn’t taste very fresh and lacked flavor. Maybe lack of turnover from insufficient sales? 3 Stars.

I love Larska noodles soup and not able to find a good place in Honolulu. Some other places I tried put too much msg. I ate Larska soup at Singmatei a few times and really like it! The broth is delicious. In spite of their raised price I just ordered 2 orders to go and enjoyed it with a friend.

Damn, the hainan chicken was terrible.... the chicken meat and the skin had like zero flavor. And the coconut rice was also flavorless (not even a hint of coconut). Hainan chicken is one of my most favorite meals to eat and based on reviews and YouTube food critics I was excited to try. But after 2 bites I did not finish the dish. Not saying food wasn't edible but it was flavorless (like when I tried to eat after getting Covid) and so I wasn't enjoying at all. And it wasn't a matter of not enough seasoning because the sauces could not even save this dish! The sauces were not good either. Food rating is 3 and I'm being nice. Service was 4.5. Very nice people and quickly served. Ambiance is mall food court so 3.5? Overall, the quality of the food kills the rating for this spot.

Always wanted to try this place. Had no idea what to order ended up with lemongrass chicken with the blue rice and a couple Thai teas. Overall an excellent value the meal was just under $15 and the tea $8. Next time I will likely skip the tea to make the meal more affordable and cut down on sugar. It was a large enough portion that me and hubby could share, probably not two hungry teenagers.Found the quality quite good. Would recommend asking for and paying if necessary for extra sauce, would have loved more, it was yummy. The staff was nice and tried to be helpful, however she didn't speak enough English to help with allergy questions.

Well, it's in the mall food court so don't expect ambiance or an available table if it's at a busy time, however, the food is so good!!! Friendly workers. Not a long wait unless you're in a line. I repeatedly order the shrimp pineapple curry and that blue rice is AMAZING. Okayyyy cute little fried anchovy friends sprinkled on the side for the perfect amount of crunch! Who would have thought I'd be a sucker for those teeny fish. Flavor is so good you'll be back for more, I promise. A little pricey, but for Hawaii it's fair. I never waste my time trying new places- I just keep wanting to eat here whenever I'm at the mall. I also never have leftovers!

This is my #1 food spot in Hawaii. I was surprised by the quality since it is in a food court, but I was amazed. The worker was super sweet and my food came out quickly. I got the pineapple shrimp curry and it was extremely flavorful. I love the blue coconut rice because it adds the perfect balance. It also comes with an egg and cucumbers! This place is so delicious and I am craving to come back.

The beef curry had no flavor whatsoever, it needed to have a lot more salt and a lot more curry paste or powder. It was just sukiyaki style thinly sliced beef in a watery curry sauce. Disappointing given the reviews. Too much lemongrass flavor and not much coconut flavor in the rice. I was expecting something like a beef rendang.

Great taste but they reduced the curry portion drastically. Now mostly chicken and rice. Both are tasty, but the reduction in curry is unfortunate.
