Unfortunately the few times we’ve been the bartender has been rude; the same bartender every time.Plus the service is slow. Our experience’s were disappointing enough we don’t even remember the food! The last time we went we went with friends otherwise when I noticed the same bartender was there I would have turned around and walked back out. When our drink order was forgotten, we asked the waitress again for our drinks, reminding her, and yet it still took them so long to deliver the round. So I decided I would ask to speak with the manager. I was looking for that round of drinks to be comp’d. Turns out the Mgr is the rude bartender. He told us our waitress is pregnant and to give her a break. No apology. The experience was so disappointing, still reflecting on it a few days later. I searched online to see if I could determine who the business owner was with the intention to bring our experiences to their attention. If they are not in the know how is the problem going to be solved? Unfortunately I was not able to find any contact info.I will not be returning.

Looks like they have good looking fried food on the dinner menu but the brunch menu was disappointing by comparison.

Most of the food we ordered was bland for the most part. We ordered 2 burgers “medium rare” but they both came out dry and well done.also-$6 for one deviled egg split in half and some imitation lobster ?? we forgot to cancel it after the server said it was $6 for one egg/2pcs and it did not taste like it was worth our $6Everything with “lobster” on their menu is definitely imitation lobster. you can visibly see it string off like imitation crab. The only actual good thing worth coming back for was the lobster poutine.

Seems understaffed. Went in with a group of friends. I ordered the mimosa pitcher to share and the burger. The drinks and food took a very long time to arrive and when they did they never brought glasses to drink out of just the pitcher and juices. And they had brought different juices than we had ordered. When the food did come out they confused our plates and gave mine to someone else in the group and they had already started eating and the servers acknowledged that they had mixed up the plates and did not do anything about it they just walked away. Also noticed many customers waiting at door to be seated for a long time without being acknowledged by staff.

I only had the pineapple Mai Tai, but it's amazing enough to warrant a 5 star review.

The food and drinks were delicious and it is very well priced. Loved the vibe. However, the service was absolutely awful. We had to ask several times for multiple things. We were also given several dirty dishes that were supposed to be ready to use. So much potential though, just need to improve the service significantly.

Strawberry & Walnut salad excellent. Rare to have a salad to rave about. Goat cheese, candied walnuts, strawberries and dressing made for a salad that was delicious and practically a desert.

We came here for brunch on a Saturday, it wasn’t crowded and the atmosphere was fun and laid back. The staff was super friendly and the drinks and appetizers we ordered were reasonably priced. I would come here again.

My wife and I ended up at Smith and King's because the restaurant we originally planned to go to was closed. To our pleasant surprise, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Smith and King's. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be back for the weekend brunch.

Saturday brunch with friends on a busy Saturday morning. As usual the atmosphere is convivial, our server was good, sadly the food was a little cool, but tasty nonetheless.

An ex co-worker and I went to Smith & Kings to talk about our common interests in IT, guitars and travel. It was just after noon on a Friday so I was somewhat surprised to find the place almost empty of diners. My lunch mates and I used to frequent this spot because the food was good (especially the foie gras burger) and the location unbeatable (across the street from our offices). We stopped coming because the place wasn’t open on a consistent basis for lunch … a victim of the pandemic, we believe.I ordered a Hendricks gin and tonic ($11) and the chicken and waffles ($16) while my tablemate opted for the chicken club ($18). The food came in short order and we each enjoyed our meal while discussing guitar stores in Tokyo. My plate contained two chicken strips and a Belgian waffle cut into quarters, served with a small container of maple syrup; a perfectly sized portion for lunch (for me). The chicken club came in a bun with lettuce, tomato … more like a fried chicken "burger" than a club sandwich. It was served with a side of fries.I enjoyed my chicken and waffles; a crisp waffle is a must for me and Smith & Kings delivered. I believe my tablemate enjoyed his sandwich. The prices are reasonable and the location remains a plus. $11 for a Hendricks & tonic is a value play in this age. Recommended.
