Oldest bar on the island. Catered to men on the USS Arizona back in the day. Stopped by for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple. Bartender was super friendly. Former marine and very engaging.

What a surprise when you walk around town rather than drive we happened to pass this amazing bar with such History and memorable experience and pictures to brag about. I lived only 4 blocks away in 1990s and never walked around down town but had a lovely Sunday afternoon walking around China Town and visiting this amazing memorable bar with such History

It lives up to its reputation, Smith's is hands down THE best 'dive' bar on island. From kareoke, to prices, to the staff, wouldn't change a THING.
If you need fancy drinks and a bar tender that listens to your stories. . .this ain’t the place. If you need a cheap draft and straight up shot for pocket change at a place where no one bugs you…you found the right place.
If you’re easily offended, don’t go here. Seriously. The locals will laugh you out, with glee.

Great grimey dive bar. Can get hot inside (they have a fan) but the drinks keep you cool! I forget his name now but the bartender going for his MBA at UH was a great chat.
Definitely not a pretty place but a good cheap spot to watch football in an area lacking good cheap spots. Highly recommend.
