They kinda took forever i was waiting for my food for an hour and a half..they didnt even acknowledge me or ask if i was doing okay. It's my first time going here, and they didnt give a good first impression. Also asked them how my order was doing, because I have somewhere to be after dinner and they kept telling me almost every 15 minutes. Might be the first and last

So good bets Indian I ever had. The naan was amazing. Rice was made to perfection. And tomato chicken dish I totally forgot get what it is and it's been eating me alive to remember. I would fly back just to get this again.

I ordered butter chicken with Naan. The waiting to get food on a Sunday dinner was 30 mins. That was way too long to wait after order. The kitchen is small and they also have a lot of to go order. All the To go order cause the delay of Dining in people's getting food time. The naan is crispy and fluffy. Butter chicken sauce is tomato base. Flavor is great just if they use better quality chicken will be great !

Heads up, this place is busy. On our first visit, we came just after they opened for dinner and we still waited a good 30 minutes to get a table. Once we ordered takeout and was warned there was about a 60-minute wait...and it really did take 60 minutes. And yet? Worth it. We ordered again within the month lol. Interior is a little small, but very nicely decorated and cozy, and once we were seated, service was very efficient and polite. I haven't had a lot of Indian food since I have a pretty weak spicy tolerance, but the waitress informed us that we could choose our spice level. The mild was indeed mild, but not for lack of flavor. From our three meals from Spice Up, the lamb is the way to go. Imo sometimes the chicken dishes are a bit dry. Our winners so far are the house curry, which is a tomato based bomb of flavor. The rogan josh with lamb was very fragrant and delicious. Garlic naan is delicious, especially fresh when it's crispy at the edges and fluffy inside. We got the lasuni gobi, a battered cauliflower in a tangy, smoky sauce, several times as well. And of course, mango lassi, a thick and sweet yogurt drink. The biryani was also good, but the curries come with rice so I'd get it with something else. Honorable mentions to the butter chicken, which was too sweet for my taste but my gf enjoyed. The lemon fried rice was much lighter in flavor compared to the biryani, still very fragrant but it doesn't stand alone like the biryani. Coconut chicken curry was also decent but not my favorite coconut curry, though it paired great with the lemon rice. We've become dedicated fans very quickly. We'll be back soon!

Garlic naan was glistening. Tandoori wings were tender and not too spicy. Rice was fluffy. Saag tasted like spinach and not greasy. Chicken tikka Marsala as good as I've tasted. Lamb Rogan did not disappoint

I've ordered take out from Spice Up twice this month and ordered the same 3 things both times. The service, food and quality is consistent which is impressive. Fresh, made to order and big on flavor. Butter Chicken - The base/sauce is thick and creamy. The flavor is robust and gives me a "fancy tomato bisque" vibe in the BEST way! It's unlike any butter chicken i've tried on island. The chicken was juicy and paired nicely with the sauce. Chicken Biryani - Rice with chicken whipped together with zesty spices. Garlic Naan - Chewy, crispy and perfect for dipping! (Comes with yogurt sauce) My total was about $40 before tip. The service is wonderful. I'll definitely be back!

I heard that it was delicious, so I finally went there♪It seems like you can't make a reservation.Fill out your name and contact information and wait at the entrance. Please contact me when it's my turn. I askedWait in the car ?Since there were only two of us, we couldn't order a lot of different kinds ?For the curry, try Spice Up Special's Chicken Tikka Masala curry with medium spiciness.Curry comes with rice, soThe two of us also ordered naan. For the side, I ordered a cauliflower called Lasuni Gobi, which I didn't really understand. (by husband)The cauliflower was a poisonous color, but it was sour and had a ketchup-like (?) flavor that was delicious. The curry is moderately spicy and delicious✨Is naan also saffron? The rice was also delicious?I think I'd like to go with a larger group next time...The one mistake was the Salted Lassi that my husband ordered! ! !It's not just salt but also spices, making it quite addictive ?I thought I could drink it with curry, but I tried my best to finish it, but I don't think I can...Mango lassi is peaceful and delicious?

Traditionally Modern Food

Of all the Indian restaurants we tried in Honolulu, this is our family’s favorite for both food and service. The biggest advantage of this restaurant is that they have parking at the back, so there's no need to search for street parking. The service is exceptional. We arrived around 8:10 and placed our order. The waiter kindly informed us that the kitchen was closing soon, but still accommodated our order. The best part was when, after 8:30, my 5-year-old took some time to finish her food; when I apologized to the waiter, she kindly said, 'No problem, take your time.' That’s the kind of service we all appreciate. The garlic naan and paneer curry were delicious. The veg kurma was also good. However, the portion size of the gobi was small and it had a strong ketchup flavor. The kofta in malai kofta gravy was slightly dry and didn't absorb much flavor, but the gravy was tasty

When I saw all the folks eating lunch, I decided to walk in. I ordered the butter chicken which came with rice & I ordered naan. The butter chicken exceeded my expectations and the naan was great in soaking up the last bit of the tasty sauce. The service was prompt & everyone friendly. It was a pleasant eating experience in a place that tends to have overpriced eateries.
