The à la carte menu is fantastic. As a first-timer, the cashier kindly offered recommendations, and I'm glad they did because the fried fish with tartar sauce became my favorite. The turnip was lovely as well. I also love how this place is incredibly budget-friendly.

I love their food! Excellent service! I love their chow funn! The shrimp tempura is great not too much batter on a tiny shrimp...

I was hungry and just cruising on Waialae and saw the crowd so I figured it must be good. I walked in and saw that they had almost everything I wanted. I got the maki sushi, chicken, noodles, and a couple of andagi I think. Everything was perfect and reminded me of my mom's cooking. I hope they stay in business for a long time because it's tasty, reasonable, and they have parking. Nowadays it's hard to find parking space close by. Thank you St. Louis Deli.

This is maybe my favorite place of all time. I've been coming here for years and years. I just went there last week after a long time and I think it's just cuz I never have cash on me. When I really need to eat there I'll go get cash first. The food is awesome. Gotta have chow fun and the tofu. Seems the chow fun noodles are different but still good. I gotta have the tofu. And I think the chicken is the best. Better than Zippy's! Sorry and that's only my opinion. The maki sushi is amazing. Musubis are perfect. Sometimes if you want, you can put Teri sauce on the musubi or they'll dunk it in the sauce. The hash, hotdog, and luncheon meat is good too. Try um all! Thirty years ago, it's the same as today - same workers, same food. Actually it's junk, don't go. That way it's not so crowded and got parking.

Japanese okazuya style food. 3 plates purchased combination of Chowfun, plain musubi, fried and shoyu chicken, hotdog, corn beef hash patty, side order of vegetable tempura, nishime & maki sushi. Was ono and filled our hungers.Parking: Parking can be tight when the lunch rush is on, they limit how many people to go in and place order, so there might be a line & long wait.

I thought I'd never find an okazuya I didn't like but everything at this spot was lacking and too greasy. The grease also tasted a little overused. I tried a piece of chicken, some hash, chicken long rice, and a piece of fried shrimp. The chicken long rice was probably the best of the bunch but still too salty. Huge bummer, and with fukuya so close, I'm not sure what the best reason would be to go here.

Quality food at unbeatable price!

After all these years the food is consistently good. I always get the same thing. I get the fish, corn beef hash, chow fun, fried chicken, and cone sushi.
