Had an appointment nearby so I stopped by St. Louis Drive In for a late breakfast/early lunch. Some of breakfasts were starting at $7, great deal. I have found that I wanted something a little more so I placed an order for a shoyu chicken plate for $12.04 tax included. Yes, very competitive with Rainbow Drive In, Cheap Eats. Once my order came out I sat down and ate and it was good. Can not complain. Good food and good price. The place is not renovated and it gives a nostalgia feeling.

Reasonable priced plate lunches! We love the roast pork with tossed greens and extra gravy, no starch!!

Food ok. My beef was cold but the chicken wings were hot. The hot foods were nice.

VERY VERY NASTY service that should’ve been a dead giveaway to give this place a miss. I didn’t know what to order so I asked for recommendations from the register lady. But she was just simply nasty. I asked if there was cutlery she literally just gave me a stare and said it was inside the most unpleasant experience I have had in Honolulu

St. Louis Drive-In is a gem! The food is consistently delicious, offering classic drive-in favorites with a Hawaiian twist. Their BBQ cheeseburger is a must-try, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. The crispy fries and onion rings are the perfect side, and their plate lunches offer great variety if you’re craving something heartier.

The service is always friendly and fast, even when they’re busy. It’s a casual spot, so don’t expect anything fancy, but that’s part of the charm. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or taking food to-go for the beach, St. Louis Drive-In hits the spot every time.

Definitely one of my go-to places when I’m craving comfort food!

Fried scallops were good. We took and Uber to the local and the seating was closed off. The food was unfortunately old and cold, maybe cooked early in the day. It's 4:30pm in the afternoon yet the shrimp tempura and grilled chicken in my meal was cold.

A local institution with yummy grindz. I love the Japanese Deluxe plate. Be patient, ordering and getting your food can take a while, so have some Aloha and enjoy watching the world go by on Waialae.

The food here is absolutely WONDERFUL, but you'll have to WAIT. I've pre-ordered food but still had to wait in line. The only difference is that your food is already ready and as long as the line isn't too long, it'll still be warm.

Parking: The parking depends on how long the line is.

Great service but the food was a let down. Shrimp scampi was very bland, mahi-mahi was okay. Green river tasted like watered down jello mix. Their outdoor seating has fallen into disrepair so there was nowhere to sit.

Hole in the wall, typical greasy place. Exactly what you would expect. Good for breakfast, maybe. I wouldn't expect to have a place like this in Oahu that has racist undertones. At first I thought I was imagining it. However, I didn't order my breakfast exactly how they serve it. But it came exactly as they wanted it not me. A nice lady taking the order kind of ignored me. While waiting for my order I went next door to their delicatessen lol. My order was ready in about 10 minutes. But I was in the delicatessen 5 ft away. So I couldn't hear my name when it was called. There was one person ahead of in the delicatessen. But it was taking forever just the place in order. So I go outside walk 5 ft looking to see if my order at the diner is ready. Aside there's no place to sit no place to eat. The best you're going to get is the go take the cardboard box and sit in your car. Years ago they actually had stuff Now they have nothing. And the prices are double if not triple. As I try to see where my order is, a local man standing in front of the pick up window. He say they put your order aside. This about 10am. And the way he said was not very nice. The woman behind the counter at the same basic attitude. I'm Caucasian they're not they don't want you here. I noticed I was the only Caucasian ordering at the diner. I've been going to his diner since 2004. Not often but It used to be a good place to go instead of McDonald's. No longer, McDonald's is across Waialae Ave about 2 short blocks down the street. At McDonald's is no price. But they're actually getting a better value than the St Louis drive in.

Went there to pick up bentos for a family beach dinner. Great way to end the day at the beach.
