I placed a mobile order expecting the usual smooth pick-up. Instead, I received a cup of coffee that was literally half empty. I politely asked for a remake. A few minutes later, the new drink arrived… the same exact way — still half empty.
Then I simply asked for water. Instead of handing it over like every other Starbucks does, they told me to stand in line and wait behind a long queue just to get water. When you order mobile, there is no option to add water, so requesting it at the counter should be normal and convenient — not a punishment.
What shocked me the most was the behavior of their manager. She claimed she worked 15 years at Starbucks, yet her attitude and solution skills were shockingly unprofessional. Instead of fixing a simple drink issue and offering basic courtesy, they canceled my order, refunded me, and basically pushed me to leave.
For comparison — on Thanksgiving Day I was at Starbucks Kapolei. Same process — same mobile order. The drinks were amazing, and when I requested water, the employee handed it to me immediately, no drama, no line, no attitude.
That shows exactly what Starbucks can be — when a real professional runs the store.
Unfortunately, Kahala proved the opposite — a reminder that a weak manager can ruin a global brand’s experience.
The people that work here are extremely rude and not helpful in any way, they ridicule and chuckle about it. While she was doing that I noticed the 2 friends of hers setting at a table next to the register were making gestures while scoffing and giggling. But they quickly looked away as soon as I turned around. The people that work here are absolutely disgusting and hateful. Never go here.

I’ve been here before alone. Staff was pleasant enough service good but NOT today. I came with my three year-old this time,? My child was complaining and the dude at the counter was a total unprofessional, rude type. He ignored my questions re size and prices (prices sizes are NOT listed on the menus, so asking is normal) though I hadnt even ordered anything yet, the cashier puts the items into the register starts pointing silently at the register, too haughty to actually verbalize to a customer deemed unworthy of his effort.
Snob behavior of the type that only regards families w kids as a lower species?!
Cant pay for low class service so had to walk out without a purchase. I went to an alternate locally owned coffee outlet with my child and was treated professionally by courteous staff and a better price on top of that!

Starbucks at Kahala Mall is a cozy spot with fast, friendly service. Efficient staff keeps the line moving. Great for coffee and work with free WiFi. Drive-thru is quick but can get busy. Ample parking and outdoor seating add charm. Highly recommend for a quick caffeine fix or casual meetup.

Always have bad experiences when we come here. Baristas seem to always be in a bad mood, our drinks are sometimes made poorly and when we ask to fix, we can tell they get upset( slamming things, rolling eyes, sighs). We already feel bad asking them to fix the drinks as it is. There have been many times have left with a bad tasting coffee just to avoid inconvenience them.

Been to Starbucks all over the continental US and this one is the most busiest. Seating and tables are at a premium. Fortunate if you get one.
The employees are always courteous and ready to serve. The baked goodies are a treat to go along with the coffee. My favorite is the Green Tea Frappucino.
I've actually seen celebrities at this location on many occasions. Good times.
I love this location and all the employees. Management at this location is doing a good job in hiring the right people. I always get great service. People like Keenan and others go above and beyond to make sure I get my order promptly and that I’m happy. It doesn’t go unnoticed and I wanted to highlight that. Keep up the good work!

The young lady that helped me was super nice. I didn’t catch her name. I told her I wanted to redeem my birthday drink and she wished me a happy birthday which I really appreciated.
No more than 5 minutes after my drink was done, some rude man knocked my whole drink over. She replaced it immediately with no questions. I really appreciate it! Thank you!
