Their steak plate was very good - generous portion of bbqed fresh meat! It is not filet mignon, of course - sometimes I feel it is kinda chewy. I still think it is very good compared with other cafeteria food with similar price.

This is the second time this has happened, chicken isn't cooked long enough. Flavors are good but they are not ensuring food is cooked thoroughly.

Solid convenient food truck for your steak craving. Plenty of seating but still can get full soon after 11:00. They allow you to choose dressing for salad and sauce on steak. The 7oz steak plate lunch is now $17.
We had such a nice meal at Stage and every dish was wonderful, love the creative and complex flavors but you still get to appreciate the original tastes of the ingredients. There were plenty of options for vegetarians which isn't always the case at other places. The wines and cocktails were delicious and the service was just outstanding. It's challenging to balance between giving the customers enough space and providing attentive service, we have to say our waiter nailed it.
It was not as good as our previous experience. It is a beautiful elegant room. There was a pianist playing softly that contributed to the ambiance. We had reservations and when we were shown to our table we were given probably the worst table in the restaurant right outside the kitchen so we had servers walking by our table all evening. They no longer provide dinner rolls and the little extras they used to provide between courses are no longer given. We both ordered a glass of wine to have with dinner. Red wine for my husband and white wine for myself. When my wine was given to me it was at room temperature. What? One would think that a restaurant that prides itself on the wine bar would know not to serve white wine at room temperature. The food itself was very good. We shared an order of escargot in a garlic herb butter with lovely parmesan crisps and a baguette. It was scrumptious. For entrees I had the grilled angus new York steak with truffled mushroom medley and crisp garlic and my husband had the special of the day – salmon with butternut squash and other accoutrements. My steak was perfectly cooked, tender and so tasty with the sauce. My husband’s salmon was very good but the portion size left a lot to be desired. At the most there was probably 6 oz. of salmon. He had quite a bit of my steak. We finished with the lilikoi creamsicle for dessert. This was a lovely dessert. The room is beautiful. I do wish that we were given a better seat as the restaurant was not full and there was better seating available. The service while good was not up to the level of service that we had on a previous visit. They have removed a few extras that used to be provided that used to add to feeling that your business was appreciated. The serving size of my husband’s salmon was truly disappointing. Prices are on the high side and therefore expectations are higher. Stage did not perform as well as it did on our previous visit.

Great and tasty fusion food away from the high traffic tourist areas. Entrance is in the parking garage.

This was our 2nd visit to Stage. Reservation was made a month ahead without issue. The restaurant is about 15 minute drive from Waikiki in the Honolulu Design Center and there is ample free parking in the building parking lot. The restaurant feels like a modern art museum and we love the design and decoration. We ordered the Dirty Shirley and Peach Please cocktails recommended by Steward who was our server and they were very very good. We ordered the daily special Persimmon Salad and Caprese, and Truffle Fries as appetizers. We ordered the daily specials Mahi Mahi and Lamb Chop and the regular menu New York Strip and Lamb Chop as our main dishes. We ordered the Hochata Sorbet and Lilikoi Creamsicle as desserts. All the food were Exceptional! Steward being able to describe in detail how each dish was prepared and in a lively manner was also Exceptional. Once again, a dinner that Exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return on our next visit to Oahu and highly recommend this restaurant
We went while on vacation with a family of four with two teen boys. We each were able to order a nice glass of wine. There was a aperitif before the appetizers. The crab cakes were excellent along with the escargot. We all loved them. For the main, after a second aperitif we enjoyed Salmon. The portion sizes were good size. The ambiance is artistic both the art and the fixtures. Tables were well spaced apart. Service was fast and friendly! Thanks for a great experience.
Fresh grilled steak, short ribs and chicken. Comes with rice and a small salad. Quality is good and prices are average for the island. I got the 2 meat combo with 4oz of steak and 2 pieces of chicken. It was more than enough food. Closes early 1330, and is only open on week days.
I PCS'ed from Pearl 3 years ago but still reminisce about Steak Out for lunch. It's just that good.
We went for their Tasting Thursday event (just happened to be in the right place at the right time) and enjoyed it thoroughly. Sommelier was friendly, informative, and very generous with his time and service. Accompanying food was well-thought out and tasty, not to mention beautifully presented. We will return!
