When ordering, an employee at the window was loudly yelling at customers to “form a line,” but there was no clear indication of where the line started. One customer was already at the order window, and the rest of us were just standing around confused. Instead of shouting at customers, a simple sign directing the line would solve the problem. We can’t read minds.
I could overlook strict or unfriendly service if the food made up for it — like the “Soup Nazi” episode of Seinfeld — but unfortunately it didn’t.
I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out dry and clearly overcooked. There was no visible pink center, and the meat was tough instead of tender (photo attached).
If you’re going to channel “Soup Nazi” energy, the steak better be outstanding. No steak for you… and honestly, that might have been better.

Ordered 6oz and 12 oz steak boxes. The apparently same portion of steaks came. The taste of steak is standard. Too much black paper. It was a long line, but not deserved to do. They seem famous. Honestly I could not find the reason.

I was able to order right away at 1PM on a Friday. I ordered the signature 6 oz steak plate. I will say prices have gone up. My food was $17.95. I found a table around the corner in the shade and waited until my name was called. Steak came with a sauce container, slightly spicy, sweet, and tangy. Steak was tender and perfectly medium rare. Salad was fresh. Rice was generous but slightly hard like it didn't have enough time to steam. The view was excellent.

Delicious plate lunch. I got the steak and chicken, and if I had any complaints, I think the steak was a little peppery for my taste, but not bad at all. Great value! We'll be back again on this trip!

No frills meat and rice with some greens on the side. Generally solid beach food, albeit with the Waikiki premium. At least one of our orders had some pretty rare steak. One piece was flat out raw. Had that been discovered earlier on, it would have gone back for a redo. 3.5 Stars overall.

Wow, this place looks like, well a shack but looks are not always what they seem. Great steak and rice, reasonably priced and a great hardworking staff.
