We got lucky today, there was no line because it was showering. For the price that you pay, this hole- in-the-wall place is a must try. The serving size is sufficiently substantial. Of course it depends on how hungry you are.

I passed by and ordered at the recommendation of a bystander who talked this place up enough for me to order on a whim. Take out only took 15 minutes and there weren’t many people waiting ahead of me. The medium rare steak was lighter in color than expected but I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and tenderness of the meat. My picky, meat-hating kid even enjoyed a few bites.We walked by later to see the sunset and the crowd for this place was much larger so definitely lucked out!

The food here is delicious! The steak is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The steak and rice are hot while the salad manages to stay cool. Make sure to drizzle the sauce on.The only con is having to wait so long to taste your delicious meal, but the cashier will warn you ahead of time so you're not left wondering why it's taking 30 minutes for your order. Trust me, it's worth it.

I love this restaurant so much that I come back to it over and over again when I go to Waikiki, Hawaii. It is often mentioned in tourist guidebooks, so you can often see many Japanese tourists there. During busy seasons, there can be long lines during lunch and dinner, so I think it's a good idea to arrive a little earlier. I think it's a great way to spend your time by eating at the counter seat just before the sun sets, and prolonging the sunset.I think it's easy to find because you can reach the store by walking towards the beach from the road between the hotel and the park.
I’m not into steak so not the best judge but this place was just okay, especially because we waited 45mins. But good value!

In a sea of overpriced meals and underwhelming quality in waikiki beach, the steak shack stands out. We had its signature 6oz steak meal for only only $12.95. The steak was exceptional tender and well seasoned. It came with a side salad and rice. It's was the perfect amount of food for us. The 10oz version of the same thing was a bit too much priced at 17.95us.There are only a handful of tables that seat 2 people. While we were lucky to get one, I wouldn't go back expecting the same. But the views were great from this little steak shack.Vegetarian options: It's called the steak shack.Wheelchair accessibility: While it is wheelchair accessible through the parking lot of the resort on the street. I wouldn't recommend it as it is a ways from the street. No handicap seating is available from the looks of it.

This was not on my list of places to visit, but I happened to be next door for an açaí bowl and saw the line. It was dinner time and the wait got all the way to an hour. I thought it must be good so went the next day at lunch time with minimal wait. I went with the combo as the steak looked and smelled amazing and I had eaten the bbq chicken at another place so wanted to try that too. Both were fantastic, especially the streak. I completely understood why people were waiting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the cook was a super nice guy. Definitely worth a try while you’re at the beach.

It smells a little like beast. The meat is tender, not the best, but delicious. The seasoning is salt and pepper, and it's quite strong, so the rice goes well. Black pepper is effective.It comes with teriyaki-style sauce.Very popular with children.I ordered a total of 18 ounces for a family of five, including a high school boy and two elementary school boys, but it wasn't enough.Dinner can be quite reasonably priced in Hawaii, where it tends to be expensive.
