Oh, wow, Stix Asia at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza is like a one-second teleport to an Asian foodie wonderland! This spot nails the vibe of those bustling Tokyo or Taipei department store food courts, and I was floored to find it right in the heart of Waikiki! The lineup of Asian eats is unreal—sizzling stir-fries to delicate dim sum, every bite had my taste buds throwing a party. Pure happiness! The star of the show? Baikohean ramen—holy cow, it’s a bowl of absolute magic! Rich, soul-hugging broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and toppings so on-point, it felt like I was slurping in a cozy Japanese ramen shop. It’s that authentic, delicious enough to make you scream with joy! I could’ve downed three bowls and called it the trip of a lifetime. The vibe’s lively yet chill, perfect for digging into epic eats. 100/100—insane Asian flavors, and that Baikohean ramen? A legendary bowl of perfection!

Great options! The food was excellent. Had udon and matcha soft serve. Also had ube ice cream. So many options in one place. If you are in Honolulu, this is the place to go if you are interested in Asian food and great ice cream options.

Amazing food. The udon was easily the best food I had while I ate, but the sushi and ramen were very good as well

This is a good spot for a variety of Asian/ Japanese food. The udon & beef Katsu place are awesome. One note, the matcha ice cream place includes matcha in all of their items. Yes, it's in the name, but I didn't realize when I ordered a chocolate parfait that it would include matcha syrup. Not necessarily bad, but surprisingly if you don't read the description carefully.

Kyoto Katsuda - so good that we went twice! We ordered the wagyu and the cheapest beef option as a side. The cheaper beef option was very juicy and tender. Wagyu was also good but meatier. It comes with curry sauce, tempura sauce, and a DIY sesame seed sauce. Free cabbage and rice refill.

The second time we came we ordered the cheapest beef option again and the second beef option on the menu. Both were very good!

Service is good too. I wish they had more customers!!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. This is the best katsu we have had. We will definitely be back soon.

Kyoto Katsuda - Beef Katsu
It's so rare to find a good Beef Katsu restaurant outside Japan. Tender beef katsu. I ordered 8.5 oz American beef which was great. We also ordered the wagyu katsu which was better. They cooked the beef based on our own preference. Medium for me but the normal is medium rare. They didn't have the hot stone plate for us to cook the meat further like what we had in Japan. We also had salmon katsu which was delicious. Shredded cabbage salad and rice. You can ask for more. Service was excellent. If you are in the Waikiki area this is the place to try.

Cool place with a bunch of asian options (they got a noddle spasific section). The vibes are nice, definitely feels like you're not in Waikiki anymore. The one downside to me is that when it gets busy, it feels more congested than it actually is because of the space. But that shouldn't stop way from checking it out! We went to the Vietnamese place in the back, and it was good—the pho was flavorful and light, a solid choice.
