We had the Washoku lunch. A bento consisting of some sashimi, miso soup, rice and black cod for $35. We enjoyed our meal and will book again for next week to try something else
Authentic Japanese food without standing service. Located on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian shopping center, the restaurant has a bright ambience.
Our family had a truly spectacular dining experience with Chef Ryu, a master chef hailing from Hokkaido. From the moment we were seated, his presence brought a warm energy to the counter. Chef Ryu prepped each course with meticulous, almost artistic care and attention to detail, transforming the meal into a captivating performance. The quality of the fish was outstanding. We loved every single piece, from the ika to the meaty akami, the incredibly sweet amaebi, and the melt-in-your-mouth otoro. The rice was seasoned and textured flawlessly. My personal favorite was the aged hirame. It had an unexpected depth of umami and a satisfying, tender chew that elevated the entire omakase. We truly felt like we were treated to a world-class Japanese culinary journey. We would absolutely come back again and highly recommend it.
Restaurant Suntory always provides excellent service and delicious food. This place never disappoints the birthday girls when we celebrate there. Thank you very much, Suntory!
We have tried it November 2025 lunch set $46 which is included 3 appetizers, a hot pot with vegetables, mushrooms and beef slices. They are light but tasty. Also it comes with a bowl of chopped sushi (big pieces of salmon and tuna) rice. A steamed clams and mushrooms broth with a touch of lime. Finally, it is purple sweet potato crème brûlée for finishing our meal. Services is very attentive with our server Irene who is very joyful and caring. Making sure we have everything we need. Thank you very much for this wonderful lunch experience.
We walked into the restaurant with the most tantalizing scent coming from the kitchen and we knew we had picked the right place for lunch. We were celebrating and felt welcomed and special. Everyone working that afternoon greeted us and we were not disappointed with the tasty food. It is a relaxing set of rooms. Everything was perfect! We were surprised with a bouquet of flowers and a special dessert for our 45th. So gracious and thoughtful.
A beautifully appointed place. Food was served in the most elegant of plates and was extraordinarily delicious. Kane was a perfect server. A wonderful lunch experience.
We decided to celebrate our Anniversary with Japanese cuisine and I happened to see Restaurant Suntory, it was easy to make a reservation and we were seated in a nice quiet area and had a server who was attentive and very sweet. We chose ala carte Washoku and I decided to get the sushi set which came with a selection of well-made nigiri with a good variety of choices including abalone and uni, my wife chose the miso butterfish, crab cream croquette, macadamia nut tofu, chutoro and wagyu nigiri and we finished off with the sakekasu cheesecake. They use Suntory whisky for their cocktails, I had a Toki Highball that was perfect. They surprised us with a lovely bouquet and dessert at the end, it was a very kind gesture and we'll be sure to come back soon, everything we had was great and we highly recommend Restaurant Suntory if you're entertaining guests or celebrating a special occasion.
Left the restaurant hungry after spending $150. Very overpriced restaurant. It's supposed to be an authentic Japanese restaurant and that white man came out to prepare the food. Very disappointed in the whole place.
I live this restaurant. Clean and good food! Lunch time prices are reasonable for Waikiki.

Very high level omakase sushi lunch! The fish preparation was outstanding and the staff were all so friendly.
Wonderful! A must visit in Honolulu. Our server was super attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. A great experience overall.
Great legacy restaurant by Suntory, if you are a whisky lover you will be shocked by the restaurant whisky closers, just like a gallery. But for food I could only say fair for its price. We ordered sukiyaki set for two and in total we have only 7-8 small slices of wagyu (they said it's wagyu but I seriously doubt it). Chutoro is way over priced: 45 dollars for 5 pieces. In Japan you can almost eat anything with this price. But if you wanna come for a date for its ambience and atmosphere, it's recommended, just don't expect food to be great.
The price of their lunch teishoku is the price of a plate lunch nowadays. So, taking into account the quality of the food, the service and the ambience, this beats a plate lunch anytime!
Friendly Service Traditional Japanese cuisine All the best! The perfect restaurant for an anniversary.
