Celebrated my birthday here. I loved the washoku courses! Very attentive, and they ask if you have any food allergies before hand. I would love to come back for the teppan courses!! Definitely an awesome place to celebrate special occasions. Fish was so fresh and the scallops tasted sweet.

If you are looking for a very high end teppanyaki like what you may experience in Tokyo Ginza, you will be disappointed. This is more like a better version of Benihana, but don’t expect too much.Lobster tail & abalone are slightly above average. Overall flavoring is quite salty & mostly by soy sauce. Hard to taste the freshness from the seafood. My steak is overcooked.Overall set your expectation right before coming

The food is great. Sashimi tastes very fresh, the cold tofu is really tender fluffy, grilled salmon is impeccable. Of course, service is excellent. Unfortunately didn't have chance to take photos, which means I need to visit again.?

It's a bit overrated in my opinion. You're mostly paying for the brand. Personally, when it comes to sushi quality, there are better Japanese restaurants in Honolulu. The waiting staff were really nice and professional. The Hibachi chef seemed a bit pessimistic. If you're looking for a fun interaction with the hibachi chef, you might not find it here. The Teppanyaki wasn't that impressive. The wagyu steak was as expected, but it had a lot of fat. I actually preferred the sirloin over the wagyu. If you're aiming for a nice ambiance, this place might be suitable. However, if you want to treat someone to great food, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I have been to many teppanyaki restaurants and expected the same type of fun atmosphere where the cook puts on a show of cooking the food. Suntory is not the place to go if that is what you are looking for. Our cook didn’t say one word to us other than “how do you want your steak cooked?”The food tasted fine but the servings were EXTREMELY SMALL. I ordered the shrimp and scallops ($40) and got 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. I am not a big eater but even I was still hungry after the meal. Everyone in our party felt the same way.Lastly, the smoke from the cooking tables was a bit overwhelming. I would not go back nor would I recommend to a friend.

don't come here if you're expecting a show and the staple teppanyaki experience... the food is very good and is prepared in front of you, but that is it. the cook didn't talk to us at all, and didn't do any of the fun stuff we were expecting (fire, tossing the knives, onion volcano, etc). the portions were also very small, i left still hungry after a very expensive meal with many courses because there just wasn't enough of anything (and so did my entire party). i looked around to the other tables, and it seemed like all the cooks were like this, it's not like we just got unlucky. so if you're looking to go out to teppanyaki for an entertaining meal, i would look elsewhere especially with how pricey everything is at suntory.

The Teppanyaki chef looked depressed as if he just lost his life savings, didn’t put up a smile and his skills were mediocre. The appetizers taste fine and the highlight of the meal was my glass of Suntory premium malt beer! Definitely not worth the price I was charged.

I got the US Filet which was cooked medium. It was seasoned well enough and was pretty good. The sesame sauce had horseradish in it which is a miss for me. The Ponzu sauce with radish was the better between the only two choices. The salad came in a glass which was unique but a bit hard to eat. The fried rice was a bit on the dry side.If you're american and expecting yum yum sauce, you won't find it here. The staff is friendly, the chef had class. They don't do the cheesy show which is kind of nice.
