Hands down probably one of my favorite spots to get plate lunches from when I'm in town area. Their food choices are great and so are the people working there. Takes a little long but that place is always busy from time to time but it's worth it. My wife always orders her usual Pork chops with gravy all over while I always stick to their garlic chicken plate. Parking is a hit or miss due to other restaurants and shops around but other than the parking and a little wait time this place is a must check.

Still think they have the best garlic chicken. I normally don’t order anything else on their menu except for the garlic chicken regular plate. The plate is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it and the portions are pretty big. The skin is so crispy and the garlic is out of this world.

Lots of parking near other establishments. Lots of table to dine on and the restrooms are located in a hallway a few stores down to the left side if you’re facing Sugoi’s front doors.

Sugoi's is my go to everytime I come back home to Hawaii. Ive been eating there since they first opened. I think in 2000 & just 3 of them worked in that place. Im obsessed with thier Garlic chicken. Since moving from Hawaii Ive lived all across America from East coast to the west coast, north & south and im always trying any garlic chicken I come across on the mainland in hopes ill find something that comes close. Nothing compares! The other plates are good also but that chicken has me ording just that every single time i walk in those doors!! I'm glad to see they're still open & how much they've grown yet kept the food the same. So ONO🤙🏽definitely a 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Been coming here to this Kalihi gem for years, iykyk🤙Known for their Massive plate lunches, thus the Japanese name "Sugoi"🤙Located in the City Square Shopping Center, this place is known for their Garlic Fried Chicken, Hamburger Steak and customizable bentos. Prices are a bit high but you always get what you pay for.

Daily specials are deals too. Mini plates these days are perfect for a weekday lunch. If youre hungry for a local style plate lunch that will fill you up, this is the place🤙 5 stars

Chicken are surprisingly crispy even though its drowning in sauce. I recommend the garlic style chicken and for me the small plate is enough.

We came two years ago and fell in love with the soy garlic chicken plate and Mac salad.

2024 it seems the recipe has changed a bit but still very delicious! Wish musubis were still on the menu, these were on of the best from our previous visit!

Sorry, no pictures. We were hungry and the food smelled so good. We order two full size meals of Korean chicken and spicy garlic chicken. Everyone loved it and two orders fed four people. Two were super hungry and two were not. We didn't find either spicy, however I believe you can may request mor or less spicy. Gentleman was friendly and answered questions. Place was very busy! Each order was $19.95 which I found a good value for the amount of food we received.
One thing is there was no kimchi in our order which would have gone perfectly. Not sure if you need to request or order separately. Would have sworn the menu said it was included. Really missed the Korean veggies. Ended up adding our own from home. We did enjoy their Mac salad as well, we can be picky.
We all feel quite satisfied with our meal.
Garlic chicken was so good cold.
