This place is unassuming but if you're hungry for fast food ramen/curry, this is the place. It is affordable and no-nonsense. It is also always warm inside if you dine in. I always get the curry udon. Mochiko chicken is also one you can't go without. Also on a side note: my stomach always hurts afterwards. I'm not sure why, maybe cause i overindulge or maybe there's a particular ingredient my stomach doesn't like. Either way, I always say I won't return but.....I do. Parking is in the shopping center.

Impressed with this place! There's plenty of seating and it's a bit outdated inside but the food comes out extremely fast. You can't beat the price- it was ~$30 total for a mochiko chicken curry ramen combo (bowl of ramen, curry and rice and potstickers) and char siu fried rice. If you're looking for good service with huge portions and food that is just plain good, come here!

I called in my order so it would be ready when I came to pick up. The owner I think was so nice to separate the soup from the noodles so it wouldn't be soggy. It was ready, just paid and got it my cat and drove home. Dinner!! I have never eaten there but they do have an eat in area, for those who want to eat there.

Absolutely love this place. fast service and great prices for what they offer! Is it authentic japanese food? probably not but find another place that gives you a curry with meat & rice, 4piece gyoza, & a ramen for only $14.

We came here with my parents a few weekends ago after a bon dance. It was my first time in a long time. My parents love it here at Sumo Ramen. And I can see why.The meals are pretty cheap and you get a lot of food when you order combination meals. Five out of six of us ordered combination meals. The combination meals came with ramen, fried rice, and gyoza and it was around $15! What a steal. I once went to a ramen place where just the ramen was $25. The service was right on and they came quickly to take our order and fill our waters. I ordered the won ton ramen combination. I thought the ramen was okay. I've had better tasting won ton and ramen at other places. But I liked the fried rice that came with the combination. They make the rice with peas and carrots but since my dad is a regular, he ordered it without peas and carrots. I followed his lead and did the same. I just don't think peas and carrots belong in fried rice. The rice was good. I think it was the best part of the combination meal. If you're in the neighborhood go and check out Sumo Ramen. You will be able to stretch your dollar since it's so affordable.

Bought a soup and soda. Counter help did not give soda. When I asked for refund he told me no can. I asked isn't that what I ordered. He tells me one or the other. I asked for refund again and was denied. Beware the menu. Totally bogus advertising.

This is one of the few places in Honolulu that serve ramen combos. The prices are good for the amount of food served. My BF and I agreed that my seafood ramen was very tasty while his shoyu ramen was okay. The gyoza is pretty good. The fried rice lacks flavor but is nice and fluffy. I was surprised that the seating was so close to the kitchen. The air was a bit hot but I appreciated that the restaurant made good use of the space that they had.

My bf ate the spam katsu curry and rice. And almost broke his tooth when he bit into this hard piece of plastic on the top.. I wasn't gonna say anything about it. Until I got this thick paper inside my fried rice omelette.. that's TWO things inside that shouldn't be. The food is good but this is dangerous. Please BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FOOD WHEN YOU COOK IT GUYS !! You are lucky he didn't actually break his tooth. This plastic is so hard. also , he said the lady at the counter was being rude.

Service was great! The lady at the counter was so sweet and helpful. Gyoza was good! The ramen was bland and the curry was outright inedible unfortunately. The coke tofu wasn’t good either.

When you simply want reliable flavor while comfortably eating in peace and quiet after a long day - here's where you come. We had the butter corn ramen, so good. As well as a Gyoza ramen combo, Chicken Katsu Curry combo, mini Kim Chee fried rice, Spam Katsu Curry everything was made perfectly. The serving staff was so patient with us being first timers and hungry without knowing which to eat on the menu ...

Very unprofessional, tried making a take out order and women who answered said "Busy, call back later" no formal Hi Sumo ramen intro, just straight busy call back later and proceeded to hang up.

Located in Market Coty bottom parking lot, same area as Ben Franklin. Good prices and delicious food. I love their ramen combos, it comes with gyoza and fried rice. Just perfect for big appetites.

We are hungry and looking for someplace to eat. We stumbled on Sumo Ramen so decided to give it a try. The food was pretty good! For appetizers we had the fried chicken and Takoyaki. The takoyaki was good and chicken was a little spicy for me but bf liked it :p I had the chicken katsu curry combo. It came with a the katsu curry, small ramen and gyoza. I really liked it and the portion size was good! As usual I asked for a take out container for the katsu curry so I can have it for lunch tomorrow. ;) Bf ordered the Won Ton ramen with extra noodles. We really like the roast pork in the ramen. It was so soft and tasty!
