Top notch sushi omakase for half the price at lunch. Friendly chefs, attentive service. No better anywhere.
Honestly one of the best dining experiences I have ever partaken in. Definitely will try to come visit and dine again!
We visited the restaurant tonight and brought our own sakes. The waitress didn't inform us that there would be an $80 corkage fee per bottle. We were surprised when the bill came out showing $160 for two bottles. Had we known about the charge, we would have ordered your sake instead. It doesn't make sense to me that we weren't advised of the fee ahead of time — I feel the waitress should have made that clear. Also, I noticed there was an automatic service charge added to the bill. It feels a bit unfair, especially since we didn't know about the corkage fee in advance.
Best sushi I have ever had in US. Some really premium fishes are included in the 200 dollar set, which is better than most of the 400 dollar+ omakase I had in SF. Strongly recommend this place.
It was our first time doing an Omakase experience and we were blown away!! Every bite was something new, the wasabi was fresh, the portions were perfect, and the staff was so friendly and professional.
Came here for lunch over the weekend. The service felt like an educational experience as well, as the host showed us pictures of what the fish looked like with each course. All staff were friendly and accommodating. There are 4 designated spots for parking right beside the restaurant. The fish was fresh and tasty. Definitely worth the visit.

The sushi is always amazing! You can really tell how much care goes into each piece — the red vinegar rice is perfect, and the service is so warm and thoughtful. I'm always super satisfied.
Exceptional omakase experience! My wife and I felt like we were back in Ginza. The sushi chefs and waitresses were attentive and fun to talk to. We will be returning!
First experience here and it was for my 4 year wedding anniversary and it was a GREAT experience. We got the bar experience where they prepared each dish in front of us and got the package with the sake pairing.
Each piece was delightful and the chefs were very pleasant to talk to.
You get the option to add to your omakase before and after it begins.
It is a pretty penny so definitely a place to go for special occasions.

Great service, though expected with a $300 price tag from a company that earned Michelin stars at other locations.

I had one of my best dining experiences in Honolulu at Sushi Ginza Onodera. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain each type of fish we were served, which made the meal even more special. They also surprised me with a wonderful birthday celebration. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience.

This was a great place for a high quality omakase dinner. We went for the $300 course and the food did not disappoint. The appetizers were well plated beautifully. The chefs introduced every type of fish to us and also attempted to do it in our native language (Chinese) as well. The team would then also show pictures of the fish and try to describe it for us. The experience made us feel welcomed. We would recommend for all tourists from all the world as well. The service was exceptional! I booked for my wife's birthday and they followed up asking me what my wife's name was and also provided details for the surprise for her. You can not find better service anywhere else.
