Excellent sushi, reasonable price and BYOB. Can't beat that. Master is a cool guy to talk to. Hard to get reservation but you can test your luck to see if they have any cancellations.

I've been meaning to post this review for a while, as we went in January. This is probably my new favorite sushi spot for omakase. At the time we went, it was $100 for apps plus 10 sushi courses, and everything was fresh and delicious. I also love that it's byob, and that they have a whole list of options to select additional courses at the end (some which were served, and some new ones). The owners here are so friendly and inviting, and I loved the casual atmosphere. Only thing is they're so popular, that you need to book a month in advance, at least. But it's worth it!

Great food, great service, great ambiance! Casual yet classy ambiance, very attentive service, excellent sushi - melt in your mouth otoro and amazingly fresh uni (sweet and creamy)! And what a great value! I'll be back!

This is our 4th or fifth visit. Probably our top favorite Omakase sushi in Honolulu. Reservation is a must. Usually 2 months wait for the counter seats.Excellent quality of fish. I don’t even like raw fish taste but I enjoy it when it’s fresh.Wife and husband restaurant. Attentive service. Counter seats 9 people. There’s a couple of table seats as well. Highly recommend to get the Counter seats as you can watch the chef create wonderful pieces.$100 plus tax. 10 course. You can order extra pieces.BYOB. No charge. Tip them well please!

Went for my birthday and had such a great time that we had to go back to enjoy a date night there as well. Food and service is amazing and well worth the money. Another added benefit is it being BYOB to bring, and share, to enhance the experience.

I was very fortunate to be included in a group dinner at a new Omakase restaurant called Sushi Que. Small location on King Street with a couple tables and an L shaped sushi counter that seats 9 guests is perfect for a nice and relaxing dinner. It's BYOB at the moment with no corkage fee which helps keep your costs down. The Great: $100 omakase that is simply amazing. Each course is fantastic and sit at the counter to watch a sushi master prepare each dish. You can also order additional items or revisit an omakase item at the end, I ended up adding on the O-Toro, YakiShirako, Nodaguro, and a Kawahagi to top off the evening. The chef and his wife are great hosts we had a lot of fun chatting with them through the evening. The Good: Due to it's small seating capacity you have to make a reservation well in advance. I believe they are already may be booked out a couple months but it is well worth the wait! The Okay: The only minor inconvenience is the parking. Very small lot behind the restaurant otherwise it will be looking for street parking in the neighborhood or King Street. Some in our group found parking a few blocks away but that's minor inconvenience for such a great experience! Overall: We noticed many Omakase style sushi bars opening over the last year but not many that can match the quality with the price. Highly recommend Sushi Que for anyone who loves great sushi!

Located on King street finding street parking can be tricky but I seem to find a close and convenient one all the time. Owners are formerly from Gakku and Sasabune. That being said they are bringing the finest, fresh seasonal fish to please your palate. I love the artistic presentation and blends of ingredients to highlight each dish. Omakase starting at $110/person. BYOB right now. Chef is engaging and the staff friendly. I love coming here! Highly recommend!

Went for the Omakase with friends. Very small restaurant. There was a large, loud party at the counter. We could not hear each other at our table. It was much better after they left. The sushi was good but the sashimi slices were a little thin. Our friends told us how to use the Himalayan salt since they been there before. Otherwise, there was no explanation. Service was a little lacking due the full house. Luckily we wanted a leisure dinner.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Lucked out by getting two spots here by happenstance and it was the best meal I've had in years.

We absolutely lucked out after another restaurant couldn’t take us in, and we’re fortunate to land two spots at the last minute at Sushi Que. The restaurant was small but intimate. The service was great. And the food was maybe the best sushi I have ever had. Sounds like it’s a hard place to get into but TRY. And don’t forget it’s BYOB!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Que, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The restaurant was bright with beautiful wood and despite the small space, created a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt like a hidden gem, perfect for dinner with a few friends or date night. The omakase was absolutely delicious. The dishes struck the perfect balance, leaving me full without being overly rich, which usually leaves me feeling gross after I eat. The chef's expertise in combining flavors was what made dinner a true experience. For example, my favorite dish was the scallop because it was on a Himalayan salt block with lime that you would rub together for flavor. It made it so fun to eat it off of the block and squeeze a bit of lime for a nice kick! Another highlight was the nori. Chef used flavored nori (seaweed) from Japan that is crisp with a lot of flavor. It really added a boost of flavor when you bit into the hand roll. Service was quick and very friendly, making this one of my new favorite places to eat!

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and I immediately fell in love. So much so that I made my next reservation while still enjoying my dinner.Let's start with the staff. They are amazing people and provide great service. The restaurant is very clean and feels like you stepped into a traditional Japanese sushi bar.Now for the food...they make some amazing sushi for their omakase. On top of the amazing food they have BYOB here which makes the experience that much better. Just bring your favorite beverage and you're in for a great time. I will be back again.
