Authentic Japanese food. I got a take out of some nigiri and rolls only the first time and the fish quality was exceptional.

They usually close for lunch and only offer takeout, but the chef welcomed us in. The miso soup was surprisingly the highlight of the meal. The omakase was good, featuring fresh, well-crafted sushi. The storefront is a bit misleading, but I would definitely recommend it.

Super high quality sushi in a very unassuming location. Great friendly staff. Omakase was amazing - super variety of fish and types of preparation. Ordered a couple salmon rolls for my kid which were super fresh. Omakase was so good that my kid ate half of mine.

Absolutely fantastic. First, the owners. Lovely husband and wife. Nicest people you will ever meet. His skills with her warm service is the perfect pairing. The food, excellent. Been to different omakase around Honolulu. For it's $110 price seems very reasonable compared to less food for $120. Plus, you can bring your own alcohol, which makes it much cheaper. I have spent $500+ for 2 because of alcohol alone (my fault). Sure, $110 per person may seem expensive, but this day and age, it's not that outrageous. If anything, go for a special occasion. I've been there 3 times and even ordered their Sushi Omakase. They do not disappoint.

This was our first experience with Omakase and it was exactly what we had imagined it to be, if not more. We love sushi, however we are not familiar with Japanese culture or customs. Nonetheless we were greeted with warmth, hospitality, and were immediately made to feel at home. We undoubtedly will return soon.

Room was quite warm with no water (unless requested). No tea served which is quite odd for a Japanese restaurant. Dessert is ice cream and only given at an additional cost.
The cuts of fish were very standard (tuna, scallop, salmon, etc.) and anything ‘premium’ such as uni were portioned out in incredibly stingy amounts. No atmosphere at all — just dusty old photos, a portable fan and a huge fridge.
Writing this with a heavy heart but want to warn others as US$110 is steep for most and this may not be the best place for your hard earned money.

This was my first omakase experience and the amount of food and quality fish for the price is unbeatable. I was STUFFED by the end I couldn’t even finish my miso soup!
The smoked bonito and smoked salmon sashimi were among my favorites. So was the squid and the tuna with egg yolk.
The food came out at perfect times to digest. Both the server and the chef were so friendly and kind and it was fun to watch the food be prepared.
My partner has had three omakase and this was the best so far, so whether it’s your first time or you’ve had omakase before, this place is worth the visit.
